Securing our reservation was fast and easy with Andy!! He was very caring!!
When we arrived Helena came out and helped us find a parking place, and helped my husband, guiding him into the spot!!
Our room was pure comfort!! Very clean!!
There was an excellent breakfast, a wide variety!!
Thank you for the opportunity to stay!!
We had a great stay. Was very impressed. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. When we had gone down for breakfast my husband let them know that they had just ran out of coffee. They were quick to make more and even brought my husband a cup to the table we were sitting at when it was ready. Room was also very clean. Will definitely stay again.
A nice enough budget hotel near the highway and not much more than 10 minutes from downtown. Clean and in generally very good condition. My only caveat is DO NOT stay here if you have any interest in keeping up with news, weather, or the outside world in general. The entire facility’s TVs seem to be funneled through a single ROKU account running on a 28.8kBps dial-up connection. Could not find a single watchable channel.
Please read until the end!! Not a terrible hotel in the beginning and the front desk people were very friendly. The lobby is nice, very basic breakfast options, and a work out room with a bike, treadmill, dumbbells & a wobbly bench(dangerous). At first, our room seemed nice enough with newer furniture & well made bed. The bed was very comfortable but the temperature of the room was impossible to control. It seemed to hover around 70 degrees no matter what we set the thermostat at. The bathroom needed major attention. The shower head almost came out of the wall when I tried to reposition it~ so water sprayed all over the floor before I could do anything. The toilet seat was too small for the toilet and was loose so it shifted every time you sat down. Waking up the first morning, my husband showed me some bites he had on his upper body and arms. We had been to an outdoor event the day before so I didn’t panic. However I did begin checking under the mattress & around the bed for any signs of bed bugs. I found nothing. The next morning my husband found a live bed bug on the bed & killed it. It had been well fed because it left blood on the sheets (Working in the medical field, we have prior experience with bed bugs & can readily identify them).
While that was incredibly disturbing, the more disturbing part was that the manager offered no compensation for our trouble. He apologized & assured us they would treat the room, then gave us our room receipt. A good business practice would be to offer some kind of compensation for such an awful experience that could greatly tarnish a reputation & future business. A very disappointing and gross stay. I will promptly be heat treating all of our belongings once home. BEWARE!!
BUYER BEWARE IS ALL THAT I WILL SAY & I HOPE THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU RESPONDS TO MY COMPLAINT ABOUT THE BAIT & SWITCH PRICING OF ROOMS.|We were driving back from seeing the eclipse in AR and we decided to call The Comfort Inn & Suites in Hannibal, MO to see what the availability was on 4/10/24. We were told a room with 2 queen beds would be $91 plus taxes and we were also advised that there were only 4 rooms left. This should have been the first red flag for us but we were tired and looking for a room. When we checked in, I realized that I forgot to give them my rewards card & number so I handed it to the receptionist and she didn't even look at it and handed it back saying she had already handled. The building doesn't look bad on the outside but when you enter the rooms the carpet is old and dirty and the bathroom didn't have an exhaust fan so it appeared to be moldy in the bathtub area. The bedding just plain grossed me out as it was all discolored and yellow looking. It was either washed too much or too much bleach over time. The bath towels felt like sand paper - no softness left. I really wished that I had taken the time to take pictures so I could post here but we were just really tired. The real problem happened when we went to check out as they were unable to give us a printed receeipt. When I pay for something, I expect to get a receipt but they advised they would send to us. There were two couples in the exact same kind of room so as we were driving we got the receipts and one of the rooms came to $124.63 and the other came to $140.70. We completely understand that taxes would be added to the $91 room rate but our friends had an addition service charge of $16.07. It was the exact same room and there were no movies ordered, no food/munchies purchased etc. We couldn't get out of this place soon enough - Yikes!!
Lots of issues with this place. The shower head was clogged with calcium and barely worked. The toilet was broken and not attached to the floor properly. The towels were not soft and the toilet paper was extremely rough. The breakfast was terrible.
Went to tell the front desk on two separate occasions and even called from the room, but no one was ever at the front desk.
I stay in a lot of Choice Hotels and this one is not up to the standards the company puts forth for locations representing their brand.
This hotel is a recent purchase. New owners! And I had the privilege of speaking to one last night during check-in. You can tell that he truly loves the hospitality business and is working very hard to turn this place around! There are so many improvements already and my stay was absolutely wonderful. While they were almost to capacity it was still very quiet which is huge for me because I am in a stupid light sleeper!! The halls and common areas and also my room were very clean. My bed was so comfortable I didn't even toss and turn overnight. There are tons of TV channels. It's a cute rural town and it definitely deserves a chance!
KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!
DON'T LET THE POOR REVIEWS FOOL YOU!!!!!
Also big plus is there is plenty of trailer parking if not in the lot, nearby where you can just walk across the street to the hotel.
Horrible experience. Was lied to about parking. If you're a semi driver don't stay here. Lied to about getting points. I stay choice hotels 3 days a week. Refused to give me points after I already checked in. I asked to cancel my reservation & they refused to do that. Ants in my room, carpet needs cleaned. Run down hotel. Horrible experience
Stayed here while in Hannibal to visit the Mark Twain museum. Location couldn't be more convenient. A very short walk to downtown and to the light house. Nice room, very clean. Staff was very friendly and provided an abundance of information on H
A true gem in the Hannibal community. Professor Beau vieghman has created a welcoming environment for anybody to come in, and train at their own pace. The philosophy is jiu jitsu for everyone. This motto is practiced everyday, and it shows with a div
LaBinnah was a lovely dining experience, from the time you walk through the door the ambience is not only seen but felt as you are greeted by the friendly staff, hear the music and see all the art on the walls. Akira was a fantastic server and very p
This is my first time visiting Hannibal, MO since I was a kid. I came to Lovers Leap for the view and was not disappointed. You can see miles of Mississippi river and farmland while standing hundreds of feet above it. The view is phenomenal and th
