Comfort Inn & Suites Dimondale - Lansing - Hotel in Dimondale - 9742 Woodlane Dr, USA

I was not sure how this hotel would be based on reviews. We stayed one night for a wedding nearby. Our room was ready for early check in so we could change before the wedding. Air conditioning was on and cool in the room. Bed cover was not clean and I took it off right away - the comforter underneath looked fine. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, room had enough space for two, everything worked fine. It was quiet all night and the drapes blocked out all outside light. Breakfast was make-em-yourself hotel waffles (yum), eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit, cereal, juice - typical and great for one morning. All in all I was pleasantly surprised and quite comfortable. Front desk staff as noted in other guest reviews was stellar.

This place is run down and our room was dirty. The carpets are filthy and our room smelled. The pictures when booking don’t reflect the true conditions. There were lawn chairs set up by most of the entrances, and people were grilling right next to the side door. People had set up lawn chairs next to the doors to smoke. Outside of the pool area there were 20+ adults in lawn chairs partying. The pool was filled with teenagers that were guest of long term residents. I was told this when I spoke to the front desk about the kids in the pool and on the deck, 15+ throwing foot balls and baseballs across the pool. There were probably 20 buckets set up around the pool that some kids were throwing balls into. I left the pool so my kids would not get hit by the flying balls. When I spoke to the person at the front desk she said they were guests of long term residents and we let them do what they want, which seemed like a crazy thing to say. One teenage came down the hall when I was speaking to the front desk, and said only two in the pool are his guests, the others must belong to someone else. He apologized and said that shouldn’t be happening. Management with a view to the pool from the front desk didn’t care. My room was overpriced for what this hotel is like. I don’t recommend anyone staying there, you’ll be disappointed.

As a Choice Privileges member, typically Comfort Inn & Suites in any town has been a good choice for me. This was not the case at this location. We were highly disappointed. In the room, the floors were not well swept, toilet paper holder was half ripped out of the wall, shower curtain rod was coming detached from the wall, sticky/stains on the bedding by the foot of the bed, refrigerator was dirty on the inside, temperature was hot and the A/C unit did not cool the room down accordingly, A/C unit was very loud and made periodic loud noise all night long, and the room was very small. In the pool area, the heaters were turned up to 90 degrees, making it feel like a sauna. The water in the pool was green. Pool area showed signs of disrepair. Outside of the hotel area, there was evidence of a patio/seating area, but no tables, chairs, etc were anywhere around. The breakfast was sub-par, even as far as hotel breakfasts go. Cold sausages, microwaved, circular egg pucks, bad coffee, etc. In our friends room, the TV was hanging at a 30 deg angle, about to fall off of the wall mount. I'm certain you can find a better place to stay in the area.

My first two stays were pleasant front desk and housekeeping staff where wonderful, however on my last stay "Priyinka" made my check-in so Awkward and Uncomfortable I didn't feel very welcomed at all she made me feel like i didn't belong here so I'll be staying elsewhere if I pull in and see her at the front desk.

Date of visit:  friday nov 10th ||Clean  front entrance.  |Front desk person was nice enough ||Rooms decent enough.  Very adequate and clean.  |The beds are big and soft.  They have protective sleeves enveloping the matrress to prevent BB infestations.  ||The beds have 4 medium size and mefium fluff fill. The beds are soft but structured and very comfortable.  They offered a very good nights sleep.  ||The bathroom is annoying.  Shower and toilet are  in one room and the space is very tight to close the door.  while sink and mirrors are inside the room.  || The shower is at a decent height.  Water temp and pressure are very good.  ||There is plenty of onsight parking. ||There is a fitness centre with a few pieces of equipment.  ||There is an indoor pool.  Neither pool or gym are open late.   Both were already closed when we arrived.   ||Breakfast is a simple buffet style.  It is only open till 9AM,  and contains waffles,  juices,  breads,  and eggs.   ||Overall the hotel could use an updating.  It is a little dated with a bit of disrepair - things like old carpet,  holes in the wall in several spots,  needing a new coat of paint.  ||There is no odour or mustiness in the hotel.  All Comfort inns are 100%smoke free. And we didnt notice any aroma of smoke (new or old)||Wifi:  you use your email address to. Log in and i had difficulty getting online. But when i woke up,  the wifi was working great.   ||

The hotel is nice. I haven’t had any problems with the rooms or the service. The only problem is the WiFi is the worst I’ve seen at a hotel so far. Takes 5+ seconds to load a webpage. I had to opt to use my phone hotspot. So if you’re on a business trip that requires WiFi I would avoid this hotel. ||It’s 2024 the world runs on the internet guys

Extremely nice for the price. They always have hot trays full of breakfast sausages and eggs

Woke up at 3am and 415ish with kids running up and down hall way yelling and laughing. Not once but twice. Then heard a man maybe hollering at them??? It was well after 5am before I could get back to sleep. The gentleman that checked me in the night before was very very helpful to print up directions to sparrow hospital and I had no prob l em getting there!! Referred me on eaterys too.
