The location is convenient to other shops and gas stations in the highway. It doesn’t come with a great view. The rooms are immaculately clean down. They have breakfast in the lobby with waffles and eggs and yogurt and coffee. Get what you pay for so if your room is affordable… you’re gonna have children running up and down the hallways like their parents don’t give a crap about anybody else but themselves and no matter how much you, ask them to tell their children to behave like they got some sense you get paid for. They have a pool and they are located across the street from dollar tree and a dollar general Pizza Hut literally anything that you could want if they’re in a perfect location for their general manager is such a nice guy! Housekeeping and maintenance are wonderful too!!

The neighborhood is a bit sketchy, the building exterior is a bit shabby, and the room furniture and carpeting badly need renovation. However, the staff at this Comfort Inn works hard to cater to their guests. The breakfast is adequate, the desk personnel are helpful and pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. This was one of the lowest priced accommodations before driving the next morning on the spectacular Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel and it is across the street from the amazing Arbor Sub and Pub, as well as a Dollar Tree and a McDonald's. It is clean and has an indoor pool. All in all, a surprisingly good experience.

The hotel is clean and, for the most part, very quiet. They have no smoking signs everywhere, but as soon as we stepped off the elevator the smell of weed hit you right in the face. The only bad part about the room was the shower head. Yes, I know that’s a small thing, but after a long day, a nice shower is a relaxing thing. Last thing, no one ever smiles. The guests smile and talk to each other, but the employees….they NEVER SMILE.

For starters I would like to say if you're just looking for a place to sleep, then you're in luck. That and the receptionist that does the breakfast is amazing and needs a raise or to at least be recognized. Okay, on to the review. If you're looking for a place that has hospitality, great customer service, cleanliness, proper and working equipment- then this probably isn't the right place. I'm not going to go through EVERYTHING that went wrong, but I will say that who ever took the pictures for the advertisement needs a raise. Some disappointments just to name a few: •The poor excuse for a gym room- everything was broken besides the 30 year old treadmill •The hotel room doors didn't close properly (minor I know but the slamming of the doors does get annoying) •Free breakfast was edible but the eggs weren't done well at all and they only have one waffle maker that takes 3 minutes to complete. Which I think is asinine when you're a hotel full of people while offering free break. This was the biggest issue by far. The gentleman you guys employed needs to be either fired or reprimanded for his actions. Even the reviews mention his lack of ability to make the guest feel welcomed should be enough especially when working in customer service. When I first arrived there, I was checking in and noticed the dining area to the left had a family who just sat down to eat the pizza they had delivered. This was about 9:30 at night. The following afternoon I had brought my family in and we were going to sit down and eat and he would not allow me to sit in the dining area. He suggested that that place was only for breakfast(which was fine), and then I was trying to tell him I seen him allow the family last night sit and eat a full dinner and he kept interrupting me saying "sir sir sir!!!" To avoid anymore conflict I gather my things and went upstairs. Now I'm not saying it's about ethnicity, but for lack of better terms we weren't of the same ethnic background and I thought that was highly unacceptable and the rules should be for EVERYONE. That's just to mention one incident. I'm sure this review will be read by the company, and then a half apology will be mentioned and then things will remain the same. I'm mainly writing this for those who intend on staying and spending their hard on money at this location. Again, if you're looking for somewhere to sleep then this is the place. Anything outside of that, as if you're on vacation with your family or what not, I would probably look elsewhere. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.

Clean, neat and nice staff. No loud noise. Comfortable area. Everything was fine. Didn't get to experience the breakfast. It sounds nice. The menu sound nice. It was a comfortable temperature in the room and enjoyed my conversation with the manager.

Très déçue de cet hôtel. Regardez les avis avant de réserver vitre chambre. Les photos du site sont embellies et ne reflètent pas la réalité. Les chambres sont très vieilles, les meubles de la toilette sont très vieux et brisés. Le canapé-lit est affreusement sale (Bonjour les punaises de lits) et non inutilisable. Matelas 1 cm d'épaisseur, les ressorts vous rentrent dans les côtes. Que dire du déjeuner ? Ça se passe de commentaire, tout simplement ! Des oeufs secs, des saucisses 🤮

I want to say from the moment I arrived there I was concerned. It’s in a rough area but that never really stops me. When I arrived the man checking me in was very rude and didn’t say hello but single words like “ID”, “ sign”, etc.. The Lobby looks like it once was nice but there are broken down fountains and a foul moldy smell. So to the room- it just gets worse from there. The rooms are very dirty and it’s like they’re trying to bandaid them up with caulking everywhere and they fix holes with plates. Then the sink doesn’t drain and there’s trash under the sink area. The fridge doesn’t work and the coffee pot hasn’t been cleaned as there is a thick mold in it. The bed is con-caved and the pillows smell so bad I used my sweatshirt instead. The office chair is broken and hard to sit in. This place is just embarrassing the Choice Hotel Brand. I hope this helps to fix this place up or remove the Choice name. So very very disappointed and disgusted!

Great location, stuff is a decent bit away but it's perfect for the price and the drive to Norfolk Virginia and Newport news is extremely short and it's fairly scenic! The rooms were nice but room service didn't show l, though we didn't ask for it so I'm not blaming the hotel for that. All in all a good stay! And I enjoyed my time.
