Comfort Inn & Suites - Hotel in Fort Walton Beach - 137 Miracle Strip Pkwy SW, USA

Unfortunately, our stay at Comfort Inn & Suites in Florida was far from the comfortable and clean experience we expected. Our team of four techs was hoping for a relaxing 4-star hotel stay during our weekend business trips, but we encountered numerous issues that made our experience disappointing. Upon checking in, we immediately noticed problems that should have been addressed before our arrival. We had to request shower curtains for the bathrooms, which should be a basic amenity in any hotel room. Additionally, the rooms had a strong, unpleasant odor that made it difficult to feel comfortable. The cleanliness was also a major concern; we encountered bugs in the room and discovered holes in the walls. These issues clearly indicated a lack of maintenance and attention to detail, which was disappointing for a hotel that markets itself as a 4-star establishment. We had planned multiple weekends stays at this location due to its convenient booking process, but after our first experience, we decided to move our techs elsewhere. The series of issues we faced made it clear that Comfort Inn & Suites did not meet the standards we expected for cleanliness and comfort.

I paid for a suite, but got a small room with 2 beds, no room service , I had to go down and ask for towels, toilet paper, buy trash bags and set outside the door hopefully they would pick it up. I will not go to comfort inn and suites again . I will book at a different place next year. Everything was great, but where we stayed at! Lots to do. Grandkids had a blast.

The the front desk personnel are not friendly at all, I will not mention their names to save them any embarrassment. Neither the check in associate or the check out associate had much personality and not very helpful. The free breakfast is a joke, with very limited selection. I was only here over night but was unable to use their internet at all. I spent over an hour along with multiple calls to technical support to no avail. It was a business trip for me and unable to get the work that I needed to get done.

No TV or internet for most of our 4 day stay which was annoying when you want to relax at end of the day - a nonstarter if you’re there for work. Comforter that is placed between clean sheet and top blanket had small dried chunks of something on it. Hotel is old and worn out. It’s a budget stay. Great restaurants close by. My husband ran out each morning and picked up a nice/cheap bk. Hotel bk is meh.

Definitely needs better cleaning staff. Found multiple things around hotel that aren't clean and in our room. The clerks all seem helpful and nice. Location is great. Only complaint is the cleaning staff missing obvious things

Horrible! On a 2 queen room they provide you with only 3 towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 wash rags. The comforter had stains so I had to sleep with the flat sheet. The drain is the shower was clogged. Breakfast room was nasty!!! The breakfast lady was locked in a room and you have to knock on the door to ask for something. They barely had eggs and sausage. There was no syrup for waffles or napkins, so we ended up eating muffins for breakfast 🤨

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Our room was $501. When we woke up Sunday morning we had water coming thru the floor so when we went down for breakfast at 6am we told the people at the counter that we would like maintenance to check it out and to get swapped to a different room. We were told that they didn’t have any rooms available at the moment, but once they were done cleaning they would call us so we can move. We get back to our room at 9:30 I called to check on the status of the room and they still didn’t have anything nor did they come look at the room. My husband went down there a hour later and talked to somebody and they said they still didn’t have anything available. But he made it known that it wasn’t our fault and we shouldn’t be charged for the water coming up. When we come back that evening the floors are sopping wet. We go down there again and the third person we spoke to managed to finally move us to a room and she said that she would talk to the GM and Manager to help with getting us a refund since we spent the whole day with water coming up. Monday morning rolls around and we go to check out. We talk to the manager and she basically said that all they can do is give us 2000 points. Then she proceeded to say that the lady we spoke to earlier in the day said my husband didn’t care if we didn’t swap rooms (which was a complete lie). So she ended up refunding us a whopping $56. 2 days later, looking at our bank account. We have a charge of $47 and $37. Not sure how they can charge us extra AFTER we paid the amount in full before leaving for the trip. Would never recommend this place.

A 5-Star Review on Google Reviews begins when you walk into the lobby. The Americans with Disabilities Act defines the rights for the disabled and for the proprietor. When I responded to the question at the front desk, “What task is your service dog trained to do”? My response was proper. The receptionist wanted to argue with me and probe me for details for which I am protected under The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). I am a career military disabled veteran and sanctioned for a service dog with the Veterans Administration. In conclusion, I believe the front desk employee potentially violated two Federal Laws. I walked out in lieu of escalating the situation. Praise the Lord! After finding all of the negative Google Reviews I am Blessed for the confrontation at the front desk.
