Comfort Inn & Suites - Hotel in Texas City - 10700 Emmett F Lowry Expy, USA

We stayed here prior to our cruise. The hotel is a major health hazard. There was noticeable mildew and mold throughout the whole entire hotel. The wallpaper in the hallways were peeling back due to the active water moisture on the sheetrock. In our room there was a water bubble in the paint that was opened and water stains on the ceiling. The whole hotel smelt like mildew and mold. We had to stay because our cruise shipped out that next day and we only got in later at night. We have 4 rooms booked with them and would have been hard to organize moving all of use. Very disappointed and everyone needs to be cautious for health reasons.

My family stayed here because of the power outage at my home caused by Hurricane Beryl. All staff members were friendly and accommodating and gave my family a great rate throughout our 5-night stay. The rooms were clean, and the beds very comfortable. My only complaint was that there was not coffee available every morning in the lobby (although this could have been due to a low supply post-hurricane), but they still deserved five stars, in my opinion. We likely return for a staycation if the rates remain reasonable.

I was a visitor and not a guest, but I was very disappointed with what I saw. It smelled damp and musty. I noticed leak stains on ceiling in weight room, and painted over spotty ceilng in room bathroom. Possibly black mold. The rooms actually felt humid and the carpets damp.I tried to talk the guest into leaving but unfortunately no other hotels available. This place did not seem at all a safe/ healthy place to stay. The guest asked several times if they could clean the room, to which they said they would, but never did. They eventually told them that because they were staying a week they won't do cleaning until check out. I don't understand that process. A 1x cleaning ( empty trash, provide fresh towels) was all that was being asked and denied. I would certainly consider another place to stay.

Really? The owners look like they are putting $0 into upkeep and maintenance. I have no words on how decrepit this place looks. Front desk lady was pleasant, however, that is where the nice ends. The only thing missing from the room were bugs and a dead body. Rust, water damage, peeling wallpaper, warped doors, a dirty pool, and to top it off, a remote the front desk would not fix. If it were not 100 degrees out, would of slept in the car…MORNING UPDATE: so much for the A/C, which was leaking into the room and carpet last night, and the juice machine for breakfast? Out of Order..a fitting ending to this trip ..

If I could give it 0 stars, I would. We waited forever at night to be checked in when the lady got to the front she just looked at us I told her my name then she was on her computer, after about 10 minutes silence she asked for my phone number 5 times and my ID which I gave her already. Finally got checked in, got to our room, and there was makeup smeared on one of the pillows, body and head hairs in the bed, multiple mystery smears. Tried to get another room it was 11pm at this point, and I tried to get them to change the sheets at least, she just gave them for us to do ourselves. Slept very poorly. The water in the shower , was half coming out of the shower head half out of the tub spout. The bathroom was dirty, could see rings on the tub where soneone else set their bottles...The general appearance of this place in the morning light is super poorly kept and run down. Save your sanity and stay elsewhere

This was the worst stay I have ever had at any hotel. We stayed 5 days. We could not get a refund. It was miserable. Dirty facility, no room service, had to go down to the office to get towels and kleenex, the floor was uneven, smelly nonworking refrigerator, never changed or even made up the beds, no help from front desk, and poor breakfast supplies. There was not enough food for the hotel guests. | Quality Inn corporation should be ashamed to have their name associated with this Comfort Inn.

The hotel experience was extremely disappointing. Mold was visible on the ceiling. A large humid bubble was present in the bathroom. The shower appeared unclean. The room had a strong unpleasant odor, requiring us to purchase Febreze and Lysol. The breakfast consisted of frozen food that guests had to heat up themselves.

Positive: The location is perfect for us because we were visiting relatives. The breakfast area was very clean. The lady who was in charge of the breakfast room was checking it constantly.
