Comfort Inn - Hotel in Savannah - 7110 Hodgson Memorial Dr, USA

We book this room from a hotel sight. It had a 8.2 rating. For two nights it was approximately 280.00. The cabinet for the linen had not been dusted for awhile. Both head boards had hand prints and finger prints on them. The treadmill did not operate properly. The bottom of the pool is in desperate need of repairs. The free breakfast was not replenished properly prior to the 9 am deadline. Finally, the toilet did not flush correctly. This Comfort Inn is a horrible negative in an otherwise fun visit.

Our room was very tidy and clean. The guy that checked is in was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location for shopping and eating. I only have one complaint. After showering the floor in the sink/bathroom area I was very slick from the condensation. I slipped and fell hitting my knee and elbow on the door frame and my head on the commode. I did tell the guy at the desk so that they could correct the problem. I thought the manager would have at least apologized, but I heard nothing from him.

Ok so the only good thing about this hotel was the desk staff. Andrew was very kind, welcoming and helpful. Super awesome dude with excellent people skills. But we got into our room and all seemed fine until I sat in the chair in the corner and noticed a needle cap in the corner of the room. We also had someone try to get into our room at 6:30am the next morning which is presumably too early for room service and only on our first day there (it had to be a staff member because they unlocked and opened our door. As two women that’s a big no from me. We almost cancelled the rest of our 2 day trip, but we payed the money so it is what it is. Through no fault of the staff the breakfast was mid. Overall we didn’t feel particularly safe or comfortable. Long story short I wouldn’t come back. I’d stop by to see the only gem this place has to offer (Andrew my BFF)

Avoid this hotel!! The only positive is the proximity to restaurants and shopping. It isn't even worth the cheap price we paid. The sofa bed was bolted shut, so it couldn't be folded out. So I called to ask for extra blankets and was rudely cut off and told there were none. The room and hotel in general had a weird smell. The free breakfast was disgusting, rubbery eggs, flavorless. The room and lobby were rundown and dirty. There was visible dirt/grime everywhere. Multiple outlets in the room didn't work. The provided toiletries were so small that they barely were enough for 2 people. The pool was cracking, there was no handrail down the stairs into the water, and no pool towels outside. The elevator seemed like it was going to give out at any second, smelly, and hot.

Avoid this place, not worth the price. Our room AC was noisy/loud, the hot water was merely warm, the room needed attention to detail for cleaning. Reception was not welcoming and was cold and technical. The free breakfast was not worth the price. The dry sausage was obviously warmed over leftovers from days before, the eggs were unseasoned and tasteless, the coffee was weak and cheap quality and the orange juice was sour. Worst of all, they stopped replenishing the food 30 minutes before breakfast ended at 9. Many customers had little to choose from. Many shared their displeasure with breakfast. Go elsewhere.

1st off, Andrew at the front desk was Awesome. When we asked, he had Lots of fabulous suggestions including Olde Times buffet. Large, quiet room. Nice neighborhood. My only negative was the breakfast that was very weak. I would stay there again.

Great hotel for the price and staff was friendly! Breakfast was good for your typical hotel food. There are other hotels that are better in the area but it’ll cost you. This was overall a great hotel especially for the price of stay. The price was cheaper but the quality was the same for the most part.

I have been staying here on my visits to Savannah since 2000 when it was Oglethorpe Inn and Suites. Sad to say there is much that needs to be attended to in this aged structure, but the staff is friendly, especially Ms. Marie, and the location is great...close to great restaurants, shops, and the bus stop is right in front of this hotel. It is so charming and the rooms are quite spacious. But some patches, some paint, and new couches will do wonders for this hotel.
