Comet Motel - LAX - Featured Reviews (125)
Needs to actually be cleaned. Was afraid to use room per its condition. Stagnant water in sink and tub with . Room hadn't been dusted. The carpet was wet. We had to beg for a remote. Scared to sleep on sheets untrustworthy just slept on top of my throw blanket. Should have just slept in my car. DO NOT GO HERE! Guy talking to us through the bulletproof glass was friendly enough it's just not up to par.
Absolutely deplorable! By far the worst condition motel I've ever been in!
-Bed Bugs
-Broken Fixtures
-Busted Pipes
-Faulty Equipment
-Unsanitary Conditions
DO NOT COME HERE
Very nice place, and the front desk worker was very friendly and accommodating to us.
Update: We've been coming to this motel for about 6 months now, and it is a very old motel. Old air conditioners, the TVs don't always work, the toilets don't flush and the cherry on top.....
WE FOUND BED BUGS ON OUR PILLOW IN OUR ROOM TODAY 😳😬
And he wouldn't give us our money back, he just changed our room. We're not coming back to this hotel anymore. We tolerated this place because the owner was nice. But he is not taking care of this place at all!!!
If your standards are extremely low and really just want a place to rest your eyes (if you can sleep through the smell of cigarette) then this place may be for you as it was one of the cheapest places we found. But it definitely was not for us.
Once we arrived, the rental office looked like it was broken into and the manager was not friendly.
In our booking request, we had requested for a non smoking room, but once we entered our room, the smell of cigarette hits you like a ton of bricks. We also noticed that there was no smoke detector. The washroom only had one towel provided even though we had booked a room for 2 people. There was also no toiletries – such as shampoo/conditioner/lotion/soap/toilet paper – the roll of toilet paper was almost at its end. We had spoken to the manager regarding these issue and he insisted that his house keeper had cleaned and put everything there. The manager also insisted this was the “best room” that he had saved for us. The manager said that he had a couple guests checking out the next day and we could change rooms. If the room he had saved for us was the best room, we were NOT interested in seeing the other rooms. There was cob-webs in the washroom, the bedsheet, towels, pillowcases and pillows were dirty. We pointed these out to the manager and he states they were dirty but “stained”.
We also noticed an old cigarette butt on our headboard with some ashes. So clearly this room had a smoker at one point or another. The manager swooped it into his hands and was like now its clean. We were so appalled by his behavior.
I would suggest spending a bit more and not staying here. This truly was a nightmare.
I checked into my first room, I noticed that there was a big, dried blood stain on the blanket. It looked old but the least they can do is get new ones. Regardless, I didn’t want to stay in the room and the hotel keeper insisted on giving me new sheets rather than a refund. By the end of it, he gave me a new room which thankfully had somewhat clean sheets but there was blood on the walls.
First off I want to say what great customer service this place has. I locked myself out of my room twice and each time I was let back in with nothing but a cheerful attitude had a situation pop up and roughly 2:00 in the morning and management met with nothing but a cheerful attitude. This is what I call customer service at his finest
Finding a decent motel/hotel that is not expensive and clean. Comet Motel at the time was requiring only a 2 hour stay for 40 or 60 dollars. No over nights . The room was non-smoking but still had a stench of smoke.
Stayed here for 4 nights and reading the reviews I think it must now have new management. It's very clean, great WiFi and large flat panel TV. It's close to a direct bus to LAX, I really find it hard to believe the previous reviews but I note they were a long time ago. I would definitely stay here again and have no complaints at all.
A lovely quaint inn tucked in a nice neighborhood. Staffs are amazingly helpful, friendly and kind. Stayed 4 nights with my daughter, cleaned everyday. A bit cars noisy as our room near the side street other than that felt safe. Definitely will stay
I love the environment at FBBCHLP! Everyone there is very supportive towards one another throughout the workouts and challenges. Iâve learned so much about my nutrition, mental health and physical strength. I would definitely recommend this place t
I was amazed by the authentic Japanese cuisine at UKA, and being Japanese myself, I believe this restaurant truly captures the essence of our culinary heritage. The chefs' attention to detail brought out flavors that transcended mere appearance, leav

I can't speak more highly of this amazing establishment. My friends and I came hungry and were treated to some of the most authentic and delicious plant-based / cruelty-free dishes. I ordered a little assortment and each one became my favorite!

Valentina and Helen are absolutely wonderful trainers. They always go out of their way to help everybody out: always giving adjustments to improve posture and performance. I always book a session when one of them is there. They also play great music.
My time at this gym has been nothing short of exceptional! I recently hit my 1 year anniversary and am proud to be a member of CrossFit Echo Park. At first I was hesitant about joining CrossFit in general due to thinking it was just a bunch of rugged
