Nice ambience, peaceful. Depicts details about Comanche native Americans. While I was reading i started thinking we are all the same beings in quest for truth in different ways. In Hindu tradition it's called "Ekam Sat Vipra Bahuda Vadanthi" meaning the same truth but wise man express it in different ways.
We had a fantastic time at the museum. It's very interactive, and while we were a group of 3 adults, we were pressing all the buttons and climbing inside teepees and learning so much. This really is a must see in my opinion, if you like to have a bit of fun while learning new things and seeing interesting stuff.
This is really small but well done. If you need to spend 30-60 minutes in Lawton then swing by. There is a photo option to wear a buffalo hide and some history items and art. For how small it was I enjoyed it.
Update:
They are setting up new exhibits.
Old New:
They had a lovely exhibit about Comanche peoples. it taught a lot about the life of the Comanche peoples, and the duties of: the family members, and tribe members... from history. They had complete wheelchair access: parking, restrooms, Museum, and Gift Shop. The only small issue was they didn't have the automatic doors to make bring someone in a wheelchair in easier.
It was clean, educational, and it had AC. parking and entry are FREE.
This was a treat for me as I am drawn to Native American art and culture. So much history., yet it was just like yesterday. Visiting and learning about First Nations fills my heart and touches my spirit. The grounds where the museum is located is in town, yet feels far away and serene. Also, I was greeted and bid farewell by prairie dogs that burrow around the museum grounds !!! Very cool experience.
It is FREE to enter. It is small. However, I enjoyed it. It is a very nice little museum and I was welcome by very nice employees.
The museum was nicely organized and educational. The gift shop offered something for everyone. This museum can be explored easily in a morning or an afternoon.
I cannot recommend this place enough to anyone interested in native American culture and history or just good solid history in general. The exhibits were of very high quality and the facility and staff very pleasant. A true gem of historical and cultural significance!
I recommend leaving a donation. They offer this high quality experience freely, and we should help them keep it running and expanding.

It can be very intimidating going to a new gym, but F45 is beginner friendly and a great environment. I like it because of the intensity. Even though there's a timer, the exercises are at your pace, and you get out of it what you put in.
Great little spot tucked away and quiet. Latte and cappuccino was very good, not an over powering flavor or too sweet. I enjoyed the poppy blueberry loaf, it was moist and flavorful. Will be returning for sure.
Very nice high point in relatively flat surroundings. Spectacular drive way up. On top there's a big parking. It surrounded by big boulders that you can hike through to have a wonderful view from the edge
My son has been doing lessons off and on with Coach Dawson for a couple years. He is so patient and focuses on age appropriate skills with him. The facilities are always clean and well maintained. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I would definitely
We hosted a sweet 16 birthday party here. The staff was fantastic, the room we used and decorated for the party was well supplied and just the right size for our guest. The escape room was challenging yet there were plenty of clues to hint and point
First time stopping in here and it was so worth it. The donuts are incredible. We got a glazed twisty donut that was so fluffy and soft. Incredibly fresh donuts. The apple fritter was the best one I've ever had. Every donut was absolutely delicious a
Hidden gem in Lawton - great cocktail bar in a cool setting. Super friendly service from the staff.
You expect this kind of bar in the streets of New York or Chicago, definitely not in Lawton. A must visit when in the area.
Note: this is a cash only
Omg, one of the most delicious Caribbean food ever. I am Haitian-American for me to say that about Porto Rican Food, must know the food met the Higher Standard. That was for the food. Now letâs go for the staff.; Excellent service very nice gentle
Seeing how it was my first time in there, I loved seeing my fellow citizens. The auditorium was nice clean and beautiful. The citizens beautiful. The outsiders were not welcomed because we do not want the refinery they are trying to bring into our to
