Columbus Metropolitan Library: Parsons Branch - Public library in Columbus - 1113 Parsons Ave, USA

not my favorite branch. Very loud and staff doesn't do anything to limit or control it. People cussing and playing inappropriate music. So not ideal for quiet library atmosphere, sounded like a shopping mall tried to stay could only take it for about 20 mins before trying a different space. Staff isn't rude just not pro active in enforcing rules. Seems like a good place for kids to go for some after school activities though so that's a positive.

Great selection of DVDS and I can order books from another location to be picked up at my location.

Great place for the community. Definitely needs more outlets and sunshades for the tables by the window. Lack of sunshades depletes available real estate when the sun is out.

Every since it was remodeled, thus is a great Lil Library location. So many buildings in that neighborhood are dull or worn down, it is refreshing to see a newly remodeled building. The Southside desperately needs more buildings like this. Also for it to be a small library, there is a lot of room to easily host many people. Rooms are always available and it is kid and teenager friendly as well.

The building was built so cheaply and badly. You can hear all outside noises etc. It feels like being on a trailer home instead of a library. I really feel like CML decided to remodel, and someone pocketed some money cause the construction of all the new libraries is completely trash. It's still a bad library branch. It feels like being in a trailer. Staff is fantastic and very accommodating. I still want an investigation into the pocket lining that happened when they decided to renovate the branches and turn them into cheap metal trailers. 04/28/2023- Google asked me to update my review , so I'll add that this location is still sketchy to go to. It still feels like being in a trailer. Recently, it has smelled of urine & body odor. Needs more space for the Southside population + regular deep cleanings. Librarians at this location are great, though. It's not their fault they have to deal with what they've got to deal with. July 12th, 2023 - Still a horrid horrible location. The building creaks and makes loud noises that disturb library patrons. SOMEONE PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE MONEY LAUNDERING THAT LINED SOMEONES FAMILIES POCKETS, THIS WAS BUILT SOOO CHEAP. TAXPAYERS GOT RIPPED OFF.

It's a great library, especially for the fact its on Parsons Ave. Definitely recommend.

There really aren't many books. The roof must be broken. Because it makes a awful racket when ever the wind blows and you're reading, or trying to concentrate. This library branch looks like it was made to cater to young children. Be careful because the bathrooms are on the opposite side that you'd expect them to be. The men's bathroom is usually on the left in other libraries. Here it's on the right. The security guards don't believe in privacy. The big windows bring in lots of natural light.
