Columbia Lakes Resort Cottages - Extended stay hotel in West Columbia - 180 Freeman Blvd, USA

Worst accommodations I have ever stayed in! Run down and filthy are the nicest things we have to say about it. There were roaches and other bugs. The bedding hadn't been washed. They did bring us replacement comforters. The walls have drywall patches everywhere. The plumbing was leaking and falling out of the wall in some places. The towels were so thin and tiny. The toilets leaked. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall and obviously not working. The dust, dirt and grime were everywhere. The shower curtain in one of the 2 bedrooms we rented was so gross that we all chose to use the shower in the other bathroom. We had to let the water run for a while because it was brown and smelly. The couches were so filthy that we had to put our own beach towels down to feel comfortable sitting down.They shouldn't even be allowed to rent these out! One bedroom had no where to hang clothes and thw manager told us there was a closet in the living room are we could us. That closet did not have a light and had old furniture and other crap stocked up and no hanging rod. Unfortunately, everything I signed stated no refunds so we knew they would not give us our miney back. The day we checked in the lobby building didn't have electricity. They told my family member just stop back by tonight or in the morning. My family stopped by 3 times and sent the manager texts trying to meet up with her. After we returned from a funeral, the manager showed up yelling at my family member demanding payment. This was after she sent a text message with a photo of her credit card because the manager was not at the desk everytime we stopped by. She said we should have called to make arrangements to meet her. This was ludicrous! We also complained again about the gross accommodations and she said we should have spoke up earlier and she would have moved us. If they had something better why put us in that space to begin with? My family has lived in Columbia Lakes for over 50 years. We have used these cottages over the years but never will again. I have attached photos as proof!

Roach infested, & dirty upon arrival. I went and purchased cleaning supplies to clean. Nobody ever came to do it. There was solid waste in the commode & left over food in the oven / fridge. Spider webs everywhere & compacted dust on all the ceiling fans. After our first day, they kicked us out due to overbooking but am still waiting for a refund. Very unprofessional & unsanitary establishment. Do not stay here!!!

Amazing place. Nice staff. Fuel max just outside the gates and small store on property. Never rented myself but friends of mine do. Nice calm and quiet . Deer run around freely in yards and all over.

Trash! Don’t stay here ever!!! We live local and are in the middle of a remodel which required us to be out of our home for a few days so thought we’d rent a couple cottages. Big mistake!!! We ended up leaving and not staying. I don’t even know where to begin to give you reasons to not stay here. Dirty, filthy bedding. One of the beds broke and hit the ground when you sat on it. One of the rooms had a huge blister on the ceiling where water was collecting and about to pop at any moment. They had advertised and told me the rooms have been remodeled but whomever was doing the remodel shouldn’t even be allowed to mow the grass, which wasn’t done btw. Light fixtures hanging by wires on the wall to dirt and filth climbing up the walls and don’t even get me started on the smell. These cottages are beyond repair and need to be condemned and torn down. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. It’s really sad too because the location of these cottages are great and they use to be the place to stay, but how they are operated and kept up now I can’t even describe how horrible they was.

It being in a gated community was a little odd, you have to check in with the gate keeper every time you come in. Maps took us way back into columbia lakes to a different motel when we got here, so just know its the first one, not the one way deep into the community. The rooms are clean and the neighbors are quiet. Theres a convenience store really close by. Not seeing any pest kind of bugs, but i did find a little oak worm, seems like a chill dude, didnt mind him. Ac works great and the tvs are up to date. The room has roku, but the wifi doesnt reach us, so i ended up having to tether data to my laptop. Theres a small coffee maker which is nice and convenient. The water heater is acting up. The young guy at the desk resolved it for a moment but by the time my husband got into the shower it had already flipped the breaker again. Ill def be giving them a heads up at check out. Overall for one night it was a decent little room for the price, and tthe staff was very helpful and welcoming!

My family rented a total of 5 different cottages and rooms. We all had a great time. The rooms were large and clean. They put us all near each other so we could visit. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We are already planning another gathering of our large group.

We had a big family gathering and many relatives from all over came to stay for the weekend. We couldn’t have ask for a better location and or service. Melissa and staff were very accommodating. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, perfect common area and kitchen. Quiet and convenient. We highly recommend this place. Thanks again 😁

This place has so much potential but serious issues need to be addressed such as roaches and general lack of cleaning. The cottages suit our groups needs wonderfully, but we are questioning whether we need to look elsewhere next year. One of the rooms had limited electricity which was being worked on when we arrived, but was never fixed. We killed numerous large roaches. We realize this is a heavily wooded area and bugs will get into places but there needs to be set pest control. It is a nice set up for large groups to use and the staff is nice ,but cleaning and see upgrades are definitely some issues that need to be a priority.
