The bed was comfortable, the view was spectacular, stayed in a River room. The staff were super friendly and the grounds were so clean and welcoming. Definitely staying again. The hotel next store had a cute bar and an amazing piano player to end the day.
Neat location, feels very secluded. Excellent service and accommodation! Bo and Sarah were extremely kind and helpful! The carriage house was such a pleasant set of rooms to stay we started planning another trip/talk about visiting in the summer!
Beautiful location but we are very disappointed with the service. We treated ourselves to the river room and loved the view (best part was being able to sit with the doors open).
The bathroom however was dirty. The shower had pieces of a bar of soap sitting in the drain. We found a contact in one of the towels (we don’t wear contacts).
But the worst part was when we were packing up to leave (at 10:05, checkout is 11) the hotel made our key stop working. This caused us to have to call the hotel staff to let us back into the room to get the rest of our stuff. The hotel staff did not apologize at all or even ask if we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It felt as if they were rushing us out.
Absolutely lovely ||We splurged for my birthday and stayed in #8 villa suite with a view of the water—dog friendly. Beautiful view from the bed or the outside patio. Or the dining room/living room. We cooked marinated garlicky steaks in a pan—couldn’t locate a broiler and it was heaven. Some leaves still on the trees in Nov!
So cozy and clean! Came straight from the mountains and the fireplace, bath, and warm tea thawed us out. The bed was comfy and it was nice to have robes. Highly recommend! The town of Hood River has so many wonderful eateries and this property was less than 10 min from the hub of town.
We were looking for a romantic getaway for our 2nd anniversary when we booked a room at Columbia Cliff Villas. We ended up getting a good deal for an upgrade to the Riverview Suite room (off-season perks). Here is an idea of what to expect: a fully stocked kitchen, a fireplace in every room, a Smart TV to log into your own accounts from your phone, a private balcony overlooking the river to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine, a soaking tub and a shower that you could literally do yoga in if you wanted to. Aside from the accommodations themselves being luxurious, spacious, and well prepared, we were most surprised by and grateful for the peace. It was early December, however, we didn’t hear a peep from anyone during our stay. It truly was the peaceful, scenic, intimate getaway experience that we were dreaming of to celebrate our love during. Staff were accommodating, professional, and kind as well. Local Coffee beans and smith tea bags stocked in kitchen, and delicious smelling nest bathroom products. Villas and neighboring hotel grounds both decorated in a whimsical and fantastical Christmas display. |Stop your scrolling and book a riverview room at the Cliff Villas. If you have kids or are traveling in a group (or are looking for the best of the best), book a suite. The penthouse is the same but with the best view. |We kept fantasizing about returning with 2 more couple when we have kids. The true home away from home, but better.|PS- during your stay, don’t look farther past Marquesi and Hood Crest wineries, Celilo for dinner, Remedy Cafe for b-feast, and Tilly Janes to catch a game. The Goodwill Boutique is a great find in case you forgot something at home, or need need cheap warming gear. |TLDR; if you’re not looking for a boring hotel room, go ahead and book here. Don’t bring a thing else because they have it all. |
Love this place! After staying at the Hood River Hotel and having an absolute terrible nights sleep, I booked a night here and Meredith did everything to make our stay wonderful. We brought our new puppy and they even gave him a welcome gift with a new blanket and dog treats. We were able to see the river, sleep peacefully and play cards together next to the cozy fireplace! We will be back!
If you are looking for tranquility, luxury, attentive staff (thanks Steve!) and a spectacular view, you will want to stay at the Columbia Cliff Villas (our room was 5B the River Room). It is unlike any typical hotel experience and one we will repeat in the near future! In addition, you will have access to the adjacent property, Columbia Gorge Hotel, which enables you to experience the ambiance of a classic hotel and a spectacular meal at Simon's (Pork Osso Buco and Shrimp with Mussels). Be sure to arrive early so you can have Tom make you a speciality cocktail at Valentinos and walk about outside to take in the waterfall and additional panoramic views of the Columbia River.

Great place! Clean rooms with a modern vibe. I appreciate the convenience of being able to get right in to the room without having to deal with checkin. Some people mentioned road noise but we slept until 8:00 one day which has probably never happene
A very enjoyable stay and a great property. I stayed two nights, and the staff here are very customer service oriented. Tina at the front desk was the highlight of my stay, assisting me with questions before I had even arrived at the hotel. Upon arri
My husband and I decided to stay at the Best Western and after checking in, we knew we made the right choice of choosing the best Western. It is in a great location and has an on-site bar/lounge and resturant. Kimi in the lounge is spectacular. Her s
Killer street tacos! These are so authentic you'll feel like you're in Mexican beach town, and they won't break the bank either! The adobada, carne asada, and pork carnitas are excellent.
Best breakfast sandwich I have had In a very long time, hands down. Golden Goods sweeps you into an inviting space, with fresh baked aromas, and smiling faces. Don't miss out on a stop at Golden Goods, your mind and body with thank you!

Surprising little gem of a brew pub. Small tap list focused more on German style beers. Friendly service. Freshnet Helles was very good, Kolsch beer as well. Worth a visit.
We had our wedding at the Ruins on 8/5/23 and it was an amazing experience! Ryan and Elody were great to work with leading up to the day and Michael was a great bartender for the evening - very friendly and personable! The ruins is a beautiful venue
Kelsey just sold me a running experience in the form of a running shoe. My daughter told me that this place is awesome and I totally agree. Sorry Jeff Bezos...I am coming here for future purchases.
This is our second time visiting the highway. And a second time doing it on E bikes. It is a wonderful ride. A combination of hikers and bicyclists. The road is wide and well taken care of. I am sure you could easily hike or ride a regular bike as we
This place should not be allowed. Too beautiful and too tasty. Ridiculous view of Mount Hood and Mount Adams. Gorgeous wine lodge. Fabulous gardens, vineyards and flowers. You will love this with all the family. Dogs welcome. Plenty of space. EV c
