Colts Neck Inn Hotel - Featured Reviews (500)
We recently stayed at the Colts Neck Inn for the first time and will be back! Returning to NJ for the first time since moving away we needed a central location to visit family, friends and the shore and this was the perfect relaxing location. The hotel is like a home away from home with personal touches that you simply won't find in a chain. The "Jersey" bagels for breakfast were like a hug from home compared to the ones we get in FL and alone, worth the trip back. The staff was friendly and helpful, shout out to Housekeeping! and what hotel leaves mints and lollipops out for the taking? Try $5 charges at a chain. Oh, and free bikes for bike ride through bucolic Colts Neck (full transparency, I did not take advantage of them). There are indoor and outdoor seating areas and books galore for your reading pleasure. I enjoyed reading outside in the peace and quiet of Colts Neck. My only regret is that we were too busy to take advantage of the free firewood to sit outside at night by a fire and babbling brook. We were able to enjoy Asbury Park and Princeton, both quickly reachable from the hotel, and after a hectic day of NJ driving it was refreshing to return to the serenity of the hotel. Well done Colts Neck Inn! We will be back.
Quaint inn conveniently located. Only 25 minutes to spring lake beach. Small shopping center across the street with some restaurants. The advertised colts neck inn steakhouse is closed for renovations until September. Decorated with warm, country feel. Hotel could benefit from some updates. Our shower door did not close all the way. Average continental breakfast, but there are cookies, fruit, coffee 24/7. Some board games available to borrow. Family room is very spacious, 2 full beds but the highlight for my kids was the trundle bed. They absolutely loved sleeping and playing in it. There’s also chalk paint with chalk which added extra entertainment. Overall fair value.
Extremely nice hotel. Free coffee, tea and COOKIES available in the lobby, twenty four hours a day. Very handsome modern crystal chandelier in the lobby. Interesting old wicker sofa on the first landing. Allows pets, without a size restriction, for a modest extra charge. Rooms are clean and comfortable and equipped with all conveniences. Com es with free breakfast. Quiet. A very pleasant experience. I would like to see more hotels like this.
I loved it here. The staff members are really sweet and accommodating. Some parts of the place need a little updating, but it's clean and comfortable. Free bikes are available for use, free cold breakfast, and its wheelchair/stroller accessible. Very relaxing. I gave it 4 stars because I rarely give 5, 5 is perfection. 4 is great!!!
Picked it for the great price and location for work event. The hotel is old, some things have been updated. The bed was comfortable and clean. The carpet definitely needs a cleaning, spots all over. Free breakfast is always a bonus. Staff very friendly.
The grounds and lobby area are very nice and the continental breakfast was decent, but unfortunately the rooms were not great. I found multiple spiders and webs throughout my room and my bathroom, along with large ants, and multiple other people in my party had the same problem and had to switch rooms. The bed also had large pieces of lint between the sheets and the comforter. The bed was also pretty uncomfortable; as soon I sat down I could feel the springs underneath me, and there were 4 small pillows for a king bed. I wouldn’t stay here again.
The beds were hard enough I felt sore before I even fell asleep. The room was clean but smelled strongly of perfumed cleaners. Would have gone elsewhere but it was late and we were tired. The building is older but well-maintained and beautiful. Sadly the owner's attempts to modernize it with decor does the place a disservice. I know that's not important in a review but I prefer hotels that don't set me on edge.
I drove a long distance, and had this place booked far in advance. I got there, everything seemed ok. I was given my room key, went up, took a nap, then had to attend to some business in the area. I returned back to the hotel @ 11:30pm, tried to get into the room several times. Made sure I was at the right one, I was. Couldn’t get in, I was met by another very angry person on the other side of the door. Telling me it’s his room, go see the front desk. I dragged all my stuff back down the stairs, and was told that’s not the room I’m supposed to be in. I was given a different room and that was that. They were not apologetic…. I didn’t want to deal with it at the time as I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep. I have emailed them, with no reply. I travel in that area often for business, I was less than impressed. Especially without a response to my email.
I've taken my sons here a few times. Each time we have found at least one thing interesting. We have found a squid pen and vertabrea. It's a good activity to do on a hot day, since the stream is shaded and the water is refreshing to walk in.
I recently visited this deli, and it exceeded all my expectations. The variety of fresh, high-quality meats and cheeses was impressive. The staff was friendly, and the service was prompt. The sandwiches were deliciously crafted, with generous portion
I am so happy to have this space in my hometown! We visited this gem when we came home from Utah for the holidays. It was a pleasure visiting and being able to interact with Ben at the bar and Bella and Jenna who helped make our corn-hole dreams com
Coffee is the best especially the cold brew. The staff are all wonderful! They are super knowledgeable about the coffee and have never steered me wrong!
I came here today for the first time after my annual apple picking excursion at a nearby orchard. The food and service was great. My Bloody Mary with Tito's Vodka really hit the spot. My waitress Cate was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant i
