So happy we saw this place near our hotel. The food was great, and our server, Savannah, was absolute perfection as she patiently answered our questions and made recommendations. Great experience! (I will add, Google says they have a full bar, but it is pretty limited to basic distilled spirits, and the wine list doesn’t have much variety.)
My husband and I have yet to have a good meal at Colton’s. We hardly ever go, but maybe once a year, we’ll go try something different, just to see if we’re missing anything. Well, tonight, it didn’t let us down. Still revolting as before. I got the steak and rib combo. My ribs were overcooked and so dry, the bones were all broken too. I couldn’t eat them. My husband got a steak and fries. The fries were saturated in oil and he could taste the at the oil in the fryer needed to be changed. The booth seats make you sink so low, it’s uncomfortable . Sorry, but we have stopped trying now. We will not ever go back.
I went here with my girlfriend for last burger in America before I go back to Sweden. The huge burger was amazing, 12/10, I achieved a higher plane of being, and the service was the best I've ever experienced. Please go to this burger place, one of the best!
We stopped in for lunch during a weekday in June, 2023. We've never heard of Colton's Steak House & Grill, let alone been to one. But we came across this one while passing through. It was lunch time and sometimes you have to take advantage of options when you have them. We like trying places we've never been to, so Colton's fit the bill.
Right off the bat, Colton's had the rustic persona that a lot of steak houses have. Once inside, nothing changed. Everything fit the rustic look. We were seated and ordered pretty quick.
Colton's seemed to have decent prices. They were even better with lunch specials. Our food came out fairly quickly. Everything we had was excellent. Probably one of the best meals that I have had recently. We were told that the wife's meal was over cooked, and they refused to serve it that way. So they cooked another meal to what they felt was proper.
I need to point out that we never saw the plate. It never came out to the table. The people in the back wanted it right. And they made it right before it could be an issue. It did take about three minutes longer. But it was excellent. Then they even discounted the meal because it wasn't right. We didn't ask for any of this. But we were impressed with the quality of Colton's staff to make sure things were right.
Our server was named Raley according to the check. Yes, she told us, but I'm not the best on remembering names, let alone pronouncing and spelling a lot of names.
Anyway, Raley, was such a pleasure to have serve us. She was an absolutely delightful women. Not only an excellent server, but an all around wonderful person. She was friendly and helpful even beyond her duties as our server. If by chance you read this, thank you Raley, for a great lunch.
The steak was good, once you put salt on it. The mashed potatoes, gravy and mac and cheese was almost room temperature. The shrimp and bread was delicious as well as the sweet tea.
The waitress, Jennifer... I thought was going to be amazing. She was sweet and used her manners... Well, after having waiting awhile for my tea to be refilled, she finally shows up ...and asks if we want a box. I looked from the time I took the picture of my steak to the time she asked if we wanted a box....or dessert...It was less than 10 mins!!! Her manner was one of rush... which I then felt rushed. She did the couple behind us the same way.
She only had two tables. The place was almost empty.
As we left, we found why. Her and about four other waitresses was leaned up in the kitchen part talking nails and what have you! 😲
So, that little rush job was reflected in her tip. We have been known to give $100 tips...not this time.
The service was good and the food was even gooder. Tea was sweet and the waitresses was even sweeter. Such a cool place w/nice folks and great food. Country style place w/western and rustic atmosphere. Good music played as well. Affordable and definitely recommend. Those loaded "smashed" taters though 🙏 🙌 DELICIOUS!!!
My entree looks great. The description sounded great. It was not great. Good but not great. My wife’s steak was great though. So there’s that.
Del Rio Rib eye could have been better but everything else was excellent. I'm a bit older and the bus boy was kind enough to offer assistance on departing. All in all it could not have been a better 63rd anniversary. Thanks! There are good folks all around..

Delicious food and super nice people. Their egg rolls are the best in town. It's the only place in town to get frozen Boba tea, and it's amazing! Highly recommend.
I normally eat fish at another place in town, but tonight it was late and we didnât want to cook and wanted something close. The lady who owns this place works in cat rescue with my wife, so she has always suggested we try here and we finally did.
