About Colorado Springs KOA Holiday in Fountain

Imagine waking up to the beautiful view of Pikes Peak (14,115 feet above sea level), the most visited mountain in North America. Visit Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds (try the Bat-a-Pult ride!) and other area attractions. Stay in a fully equipped Cabin, pitch a tent or pull into an RV Site (including extra-large sites). If you are planning a rally or family reunion, this KOA has a hall for those scrumptious potlucks, or have them catered by the staff. During the summer, enjoy a dip in the heated pool or relax in the hot tub. Don't feel like cooking? Try the pancakes for breakfast and a homemade pizza or hamburgers for dinner. Pets will have a great time being with their families, meeting new dogs, running in the dog park.

Just got back from a weekend with my 3 kids. We had an amazing time and loved Debbie at the activity center. She really made our time more enjoyable. She was made for this job! You can tell she loves it and the kids. She did a bingo activity, helped with the kids paintings etc and even made sure to tell us another the free popsicles they were giving out at the pool that we were not aware of and would’ve missed it otherwise.|We will be back next year and hope to see her again

We enjoyed our time here with our little family. My kids did not want to leave. Endless activities for the kiddos throughout the day if you're not of course at the pool having fun on the water slides. They had crafts, glow in glow-in-the-dark hay ride, and a splash hay ride that my kids had the best of time on. Our cabin was clean and it came with a table and grill outside. All the staff was super friendly and helpful with anything we needed and put so many smiles on kids' faces. The only reason for four starts is the restroom could use a little more maintenance. Some of the toilets did not wanna flush properly. Other than that we had a wonderful time and I have already recommended this KOA to many friends with kiddos.

Close to Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Great location and easy to get to. Gas station close by for easy fill up. Staff was great! I couldn't say enough great things about this location. So with that being said, I'll let you know what my son said. "Favorite camping location of the trip" We spent 2 weeks driving from Mount Rushmore, Tetons and Yellowstone and he chose his favorite in Colorado. Camping spots are what you expect from a KOA. Level with full hook ups. Great water area for my son along with Park and jump pad. All the while feeling safe and secure being there. Water area does need some work for me..... Some water activities didn't work. Water in pool was cloudy, but with the amount of use it was getting I would expect it. But what was must important was did my kid have fun. The answer was YES and he had no complaints being here. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to visit the near by attractions. And your kids will appreciate the visit.

We were unable to connect our TV most of the time. When we did it would stay connected for a short period of time. We checked in on Wednesday and it was the same on Saturday. I tried calling the manager but their mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a message. I did leave a message on the main line and no one ever returned my call. If you are going to advertise WI-FI you need to make sure it works. There is hardly any shade so most spots are in the full sun. The men's bathroom was awful. It smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in several days. I refused to use it. I suggest you focus on the basics instead of all the other stuff you are trying to do. The person driving the people around with the trailer could be cleaning the bathrooms. The person riding in the trailer could be making sure the WI-FI is working. The manager could listen to their voice messages. Just my opinion and I'm sure you don't care as you only respond to the positive reviews on here. You don't address the negative reviews.|Service: 1/5 | Location: 3/5

We had a great time at this KOA! My 8 year old loved the water park and the small cabin with no bathroom was very comfortable and cozy. With TV, AC, and a mini fridge, it barely felt like camping. Sites are packed in very close, but neighbors were friendly. It seems like they addressed the complaints about political flags, we didn’t see any around the grounds and everyone was very friendly. Bathrooms were kept super clean and we never had to wait. I would definitely recommend this place!

I’ll start by saying that I’ve stayed at KOA Kampgrounds across the country with my grandparents since I was a little kid, and this review doesn’t reflect upon all of KOA, but rather only the Colorado Springs KOA Holiday.||||Upon check in, everyone was helpful. The staff is kind and genial. I was, however, required to sign a waiver, “It states that we can’t control animals, the weather, or other people,” the employee explained. I quipped, “I guess that means you can’t control me, then.” And she, back, “is that a challenge?” It was funny until we got to our site and were angrily greeted by our neighbor’s German shepherd who had clearly also read the waiver and was eager to exercise his rights on me and my family. I later let the folks at the front desk know about this 120 pound, SUPER aggressive dog, and their response (consistent with their waiver) was, “well, that happens.” I could abide by this, as I could abide by my site being out of level, the obnoxious and ever-present streetlights, the poor water pressure, the general shabbiness, and my neighbor’s sewage hose being about 10 feet from our camper door, and 6 feet from our fire pit. All for over $100 a night. ||||Less excusable was the overt political messaging of the place, present in the stack of flags as you enter, the nightly parade that incorporates the political display shown in the video, Trump flags flying from campground property, and the use of a campground common area for the distribution of political propaganda materials. While I don’t share the political persuasion that this campground obviously aims to espouse, I affirm their right to do so, but under the condition that folks who stay here know exactly what they’re getting into: this place is an overt and obvious haven for Trump supporters who desire to camp among their kind and spread their support to others in the form of a nightly parade that lasts until 10 pm, complete with an off duty firefighter (police officer?) who travels through the park lights and siren, blasting his horn. ||||In response to previous reviews the owners have claimed to but failed to address this issue, and it seems to me that they’ve done so because they simply don’t want to address it: they show their support of the obvious political messaging by making campground rules that deny their responsibility to prevent it, thus allowing the nightly family-centered parade to turn into a Trump rally. ||||This is all to say: buyer beware. This campground is an overt political outpost whose worn outamenities and packed in sites simply aren’t enough allure to overshadow the politics of the place for family looking for a vacation. ||||Again, it’s the business owners’ right to express their political views in their business, but it’s the consumers’ right to know what they’re spending their money to support.

We had a great time! The planned activities were amazing! The wagon rides were so much fun especially the water one! The movie nights with free popcorn were a great touch! The only improvement would be needing some more bathroom/shower facilities and the pool/splash park were icy cold (almost too cold). Otherwise, we really enjoyed our time here!! We'll be back again.

Could use some updating. The staff are great and always willing to help. The TV cable did not work for most of our trip. We stayed in a cabin they were ok for what we needed. I will say they didn’t do much for the theme. We expected more activities. The pool was FREEZING but they had just changed out the water. Overall it wasn’t bad we would go back. The kids loved playing Gaga ball!
