Adopt don’t shop is alive and well at CARE! I adopted all three of my babies from here between 2019 and 2022 and each time has been a fantastic experience! Everyone at the facility is super helpful and friendly (special shout-out to Lisa and Bethany). Each of my three adoptions was totally different and I’m so grateful for the support I received throughout the process. Juan Pablo, Leonardo, and Lucia have 100% shown me that my heart is as big as the Grand Canyon and my love is infinite! You absolutely will not regret welcoming a furry friend into your home. Hands down the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. I don’t plan on adopting again for another 15 or so years, but when that time comes, I will go straight to CARE. A wonderful facility with an assortment of fur babies to fit every household. A million out of ten would recommend! Pro tip: donate a little extra when adopting or head to their website to check out their wishlist. Support non-profit and support local!
What an amazing place! We're so lucky, as are the animals, to have such a wonderful organization in our valley. My wife fell in love with a cat on Wednesday, and we took him home Thursday evening. The whole process couldn't have been any easier, and the folks working at CARE couldn't be any nicer. It felt like the whole staff came out to see the kitty off to his new home!
If you're looking for a pet for your family, please consider adopting from here.
I got my Charlie through this animal shelter. I thought I saw tears when I drove him away from staff. He was so so loved, and is even more so. (His name you gave him was Heath.) So thankful for this gift!!!
I’m also grateful that there wasn’t paperwork asking about my yard or doing a google map of my yard. Things change and now he does have a yard of his own!
Great work they did with him too, because he’s not food aggro and he loves other pets.
This shelter is wonderful! Very helpful and caring for the animals. We adopted a dog and they were very careful to make sure it was a good fit
Love it, the staff very friendly
Tha k you guys,
Knowledgeable, caring, supportive. While there on my visit with 50 children I witnessed this. A woman lost her dog and more than likely will never return. The staff was so caring and comforting to this family. A man lost his dog they helped out by giving him all the resources he needed to help recover his dog. Really good folks, professional and very clean facilities.
This is such a loving beautiful facility. I was impressed immediately by the kindness and care to all of the pets who have been rescued. I adopted a dog from here and the process was smooth and conscientious. Everyone who worked there was lovely and the conditions I saw the dogs being kept in and the care being given to them was heartwarming .
They donated dog food when we were displaced from a fire. The friendly staff, trimmed our little dogs nails, they are very much appreciated.
Lots of wonderful dogs and cats, looking for someone to be their forever home.
The shelter is located in a beautifully landscaped, very clean area, in the rolling hills, outside of town.

Great way to start an early birthday celebration! David was awesome and chose some shots for us that were so delicious. It's dog-friendly and you can bring in food from elsewhere. Love supporting our local craft distillers!
These guys do a great job of stocking hard to find items for hunting, items I canât even find in ANY of the big box stores between Salt Lake City and Grand Junction. Itâs also great to support local, and if youâre bowhunter, they have an indoor
We really enjoyed the hike! Beautiful- enough of a challenge, but not so difficult that someone that doesn't always hike can't do it. We hiked it in comfortable shoes, and jeans. My husband carried our 9 month old on his back just fine. We are fairl
Perfect place for a stay in Glenwood Springs! Close to everything, also safe and quiet. Super cozy, but I can't say enough about the VIEW. We stayed in the Colorado suite and it was the best view to wake up to in the mornings. Make sure you stop by D

My favorite combination of low key and nice dinner. You canât go wrong with the short rib and the calamari. The specials are typically a strong item as well. Oh and also the chicken lollipops are great. Come as a family dinner or a nice dinner with
I loved this place!! They are popular, so don't expect to be in and out. The owner and all staff were super nice. He helped me decide what to get and gave me some sausage gravy on the side of my sandwich, and it was delicious! He also gave us free sh
