Colonel House Motel - Motel in Owensboro - 1829 Triplett St, USA

Very poor area, many live in customers. Not a safe and clean place for travelers

This place is absolutely disgusting it's nasty and dirty infested with roaches of both the insect and human variety. The city should move to have this place closed and condemned and the owners who run a legal trap house should be ran out of town. If your going to own and operate a business you should be willing to invest in fixing the place there are beds on floors in the rooms no blankets and the bathrooms in most of the rooms don't even have a door for privacy. Where are our community leaders and the people who inspect these places why isn't something being done? I'm ashamed to say that this place exists in my city.

The staff isn't very friendly. There seems to be a lot of drug activity here. The only good things about this place are the rates and the fact that it is next to a gas station that is open 24 hours a day. They never bring fresh linens, towels, or toiletries. All of the mattresses are wrapped in plastic, which makes me think they have bed bugs or had bedbugs. Once I realized this, I asked for a refund and they refused to refund my money.

No wheel chair access. There are ppl in wheel chair that lives there. They took up the small ramp my sister in law had made. Say they didn't want it. She also has hole in the ceiling in her bathroom. Her bathroom won't drain. Toliet is not securely attached. She is lived there 9 mo. Never been late on rent no 1 time. They say they have no other room for her? U can clearly see there is some other ground floor empty. She is in a wheel chair is terminal. This is solely uncalled for. Among other things is it not a safe place for her or not much anyone. Place is little red w trash and don't see anyone bother picking up. Nor do they have anyone to do the job. If so they are not doing it. They don't care that they charge way to much for this place and don't provide phone cable TV no internet. It's not acceptable for ppl to get help for community. They know what type of place and what goes on so they aren't willing to help pay rent. They take monthly payments but won't provide a week to week lease or month to month. Even though most of their tenants live no.to mo. And but advertise as studio apartments. Am motel drugs a micro wave no sick and nothing to cook w other than micromave. That's not a studio apartment. And if no lease no.to mo. It's really not studio apartment if rent to ppl as motel rooms. They go by what suits them. If it's motel. Rental . then why don't they provide toliet paper . someone to clean all rooms daily and give clean towels and sheets daily. That's cuz in that case it studio apt. But not if they want to get a week to week lease no.to mo. Lease. Then ppl stuggling could get help with rent. But they do what suits them. And yes cash only... No cable TV internet access no phone access. But charge as much as the other motel in town. It's a wonder health department don't shut them down . until they get it together. Or fine them until they do. Js . not to great for anyone involved. No one lives can get help. They get stuck in a the black hole with no light in sight.

Dirty!! Rats run all over in the rooms. Smells so offense/nasty. Very violent fights on the daily. Meth being smoked and shot all over this hotel. Dirty I.V. needles on the ground and parking lots.[Hey, do what you do people. None of my buisness. But keep the points(syringes)off the ground and out if the reach of children!] Management is very ignorant/simple people; whom couldn't care less about the guests. Also, this is a place they house a large number of pedophiles, and other sex offender straight out of prison. This is a hotel that can, at times, have a very strong (loud) smell of Marijuana herb smoke. This would be my only positive statement about the place.

Paid daily at first, then paid for a week. Next day air went out reported it, then tv out for 4 days. Come in from work whole room reaked of weed! Was roaches, knats just horrible. Left and wouldn't do refund IDC couldn't take another nite. Place full of dope

I don't, like like this chea ass ,drug infested, cop patrolling area at all!! The owner miss T, not saying any names just spelling it Tanya had let whoever owner the storage room there lock up my new bike, and my fiance's breathing machine up!! And we couldn't get it out!!!And we still can get out belongings , we will never c it again!! Stupid Unprofessional selfish, folks who works the front desk!! I would definitely not recommend this place, I had pinkish red stained mark on my white towel that miss T. gave me!

The place is just gross. The workers are rude. No service from them. Our bathroom ceiling fell down and not one person come by to fix it. The city really needs to shut the place down.
