Intimate theater that presents high-quality productions. Wonderful acting in a cozy setting. The latest offering, Berhardt/Hamlet was splendid. I love this theater. It deserves community support!!
Worth it. Go on opening night, they have snacks and stuff. And alcohol. So much talent. Great people. They could use some marketing help though. The name doesn't work. It's fine for the name of the organization who runs everything. Don't change that. But the theater oteelf needs a name. People went to The Globe, not the King's Men Acting Company. The Holly, the Craterian, these are great names. They tell me there's theater magic inside. Walking by the CTP by chance, I couldn't be sure a theater was back there. Once you're inside the place is magical. But at a glance it looks like the offices of the nonprofit who runs the theater. Getting people through the doors... you could bring some of that magic outside. You have that area to work with, people walking up and down. You could have some mini scenes acted out there. Like for Jeckyl&Hyde, that opening scene where Hyde collides with the girl. That area out front would be perfect. Then you have your Door right there, Hyde goes in and onlookers know magic is taking place on the other side. Maybe have some visuals of what the theater looks like outside, or of the stage. The letters on the sign on Jackson, leading to the parking lot, are too small, especially next to the other businesses. Again, naming the theater would help with this. Have some merch for sale at the front desk when you first come in. This is the longest review I've ever written. It's because I care. You guys are great.
What a jewel. Great small theater. Nice rake and sight lines. Wonderful company and facilities.
Every seat in this tiny theater is a good one. Their production of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was fantastic!
Great theater and actors. Have enjoyed all of the performances.
First time here and it was a bit difficult to tell what it would be like from the reviews. The place was clean, well decorated with art and play info and presented an elegant atmosphere. The theater itself was on the smaller side but plenty of room in seating. You are quite close to the stage in a positive way. Acoustics were great and had no trouble hearing. Small vendor for basic snacks and coffee. They sell tickets online or at the door. I did not buy online as there were a bunch of seats available early in the day but the play was pretty full. Acting and presentation was very professional. Highly recommend!
Saw Peter and the Starcatcher, a great performance! The actors are all great and we were cracking up. Going to see it again before the show ends!
Nice small community type playhouse. Some actors do come from outside the area. Ticket prices are fair & they do have student & senior discounts. If you buy tickets online, there is a small, third party fee per ticket. The box office opens one hour before. So if you look @ the seating online & there are plenty of seats available, you can buy them @ the box office. I bought them @ the office one hour ahead. It was a Saturday nite & there were plenty of seats available. I saw the play " Death Takes a Holiday ". The more recent version " Meet Joe Black " with Brad Pitt is based on it. It's on TV every once in awhile. I enjoyed it, I think you will too !
