Coliseum Country Cafe - Family restaurant in Greensboro - 1904 Coliseum Blvd, USA

This was my 20th time at this restaurant it is a very cozy place and very friendly. The grilled salmon was excellent and flaky. It was offered with cucumber sauce which was very tasty but it was also very good with just fresh squeezed lemon. The sweet tea was excellent and the garlic toast was definitely on point. This is a great no frills restaurant with really good food. I have made this a regular stop. Again with the grilled salmon plus candied yams. Also had the spring salad with raspberry dressing.

This was hands down the best fried chicken livers, gravy, rice and fried pimento cheese cornbread I have ever tasted. Best restaurant around.

Love this place, food is always good and specials change everyday so there is always something new to pick from. Service is quick and polite

This was my first time and I was a little skeptical but it really was good... the spaghetti was amazing, the pineapple salad was oh so good, the fried cornbread yes. What I didn't like was the mashed potatoes with gravy..you could tell they were instant and the sweet tea could be a little sweeter. Lindsey my waitress was amazing..very friendly and explained everything. It did kinda freak me out to turn around and there was someone outside the window staring at me. It is a cash only but I will definitely be back..

The atmosphere, that black girl eating a watermelon on the wall. All made it make sense, it's the south and a white owned restaurant. I didn't feel welcomed at all.

This place is one of my favorite diners in Greensboro. Atmosphere: It's doesn't put up pretenses in appearance. The venue is old-fashioned and admittedly a little dated, but it's not the type of place you go to for impressing a hot date. You go because the food is cheap but good. Nevertheless, it still has a small town charm in a mid sized city. Price: Seriously, the place delivers a lot of bang for your buck. It's cash only. There is an ATM across the street. Food: The owner likes to get creative with the menu options, so the menu changes on literally a daily basis. You can check on their Facebook page for the menu of the day. Is it Michelin star? Probably not, but still good, especially for that price. But if you like variety in your options and a friendly down-to- earth staff, this is the place for you.

Hmm, this was a tough one to rate. Personally I enjoyed the staff and down home country feel of the place. I'm a southern boy myself so good old fashion country I do well at times. The downside was the food was not impressive. It was okay but not much to talk about. There were dishes that I really enjoyed and other that I thought were more of something I'd find further north where taste isn't as important. Overall the food was good enough to go back for specific menu items but others just lacked in flavor. To be fair my son said that the cheesesteak was a close second for him. He has one in most every place that we try so I'd say he's trust worthy.

More comfortable seats than Bernie's but I still like Bernie's menu a little better.
