One of the best Mexican restaurants in San Francisco. Ambience is amazing. Service is on point. They keep checking on you every few minutes. Vegetarian options are exceptionally tasty. The guacamole is fresh and tasty. Would definitely recommend this place. 5/5❤️I would like to mention Israel for his service. He is kind and made sure we enjoyed the food thoroughly.

Everything here is very tasty and carefully cooked, with some level of novelty or innovation. The tortilla is amazing - I can just eat those with nothing else. We ordered catch of the day, lamb, pork as well duck for 5 people dinning here for a family reunion. We all had great time. Service here is all right. The main room is where we were seated and it was a bit too loud.

I waited 20 minutes for a server. He took my order and never saw him again until my food was ready 1 hour later. My food was served slightly below room temperature. I don't understand why I waited so long to get my food while tables around me got theirs way before mine. Was my entrées sitting somewhere? Can you imagine eating cold expensive Mexican food? The portions are appetizer size - not filling at all if you were expecting a full size lunch. Yes, I normally would complain about my food being served cold but somehow, I did not have the "restaurant trust" to do so. Food presentation was good. I ordered the Chile Relleno with chicharrons. Paying extra for chicharrons was not worth it ($28). It was probably a tsp of chicharron bits, like the size of a grain of rice. The Chile Relleno was probably no more than 6 inches. It did not come with chips or tortillas like other Mexican restaurants I patronize. For me, it took about 8 bites to finish. The fish tacos came with 3 tiny ones ($24). One can eat it all in one bite but I ate mine in 2 bites. So basically you are paying $4 a bite. This is the first Mexican restaurant that did not serve complimentary chips, salsa, tortillas, or anything else except for water, especially with entrees. My bill for 2 entrees and a watermelon tea (a little watered down) was over $65 not including gratuities and I was still hungry. I did not expect a casual restaurant inside the Presidio to have fine dining prices. At least at fine dining restaurants, they serve you complimentary bread and the waiter checks in with you regularly. The alcohol drinks look good. Maybe come at happy hour and try this restaurant. Don't expect to get filled. Good for talking and nibbling. Tables are close; atmosphere is warming and comforting. There's indoor and outdoor seating. Remember, not all parking inside the Presidio is free. Double check for parking signs.

Wow! The food is amazing! So full of flavor! Had the shrimp and the sauce is perfect! Someone had the carnitas and that little pig is deceiving, there’s a ton of meat and he could not stop eating it was so good! Didn’t know about this place, we came for a friend’s bday and I’m coming back!

This place is consistently delicious! It is pricey but worth it! I love the outdoor seating area. The indoor area has the cutest decor! The Margaritas are strong and a tad sweet. Guacamole was delicious and large portion! A few gluten and dairy free options. I came here for drinks once and this time for Brunch.. I was not disappointed! I can’t wait to go back for another date night! Dog friendly! Staff are attentive and friendly as well. Tons of parking ($3 to park/hr.).

Bon accueil, plats delicieux, guacamole préparé sous nos yeux, produits d'une grande fraîcheur et généreux. Peu fréquenté lors de notre passage d'où le manque d'ambiance. Service moyen... personnel qui manque "d'étoffe" mais néanmoins aimable et souriant.

Interesting place.. went here with some friends after doing the escape room at the palace of fine arts and it was easy to get table. I’m from LA so unfortunately the dishes I tried at Colibri was okay. The location that it’s in is great but I thought it was very average Mexican food. The servers were very nice but not sure if we would come back since there are so many other restaurants to try in SF.

Colibri Mexican Bistro in San Francisco's Presidio makes the freshest, most delicious guacamole I have ever had. Their fish tacos are amazing. Every dish I have had here has been beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Great service too.
