Coffee Prose Midtown - Coffee shop in Jackson - 1619 N West St, USA

From the pictures, I frequent this spot a good bit. The coffee shop aesthetic here is calming yet eccentric; it has a cozy maximalist vibe that I like. Chocolate caramel knots, ginger molasses cookies, sugar cookies with sprinkles, and the Prose Pops are where it's at with sweets. The Nancy Drew, the Scrumdiddlyumptious, and the Delta Wedding are some favorites. Can ask for coffee-free versions of their staples!

A super hip yet relaxing spot in Midtown Jackson. I love the theme of an old library looking building turned coffee shop. You can buy a wide variety of books in store in case you forgot yours. I had a decaf americano and was very pleased with the flavorful despite the process it undergoes to lose the caffeine. There is ample seating and the rectangle shaped cinnamon rolls have a liberal amount of icing that looked great.

Wished I lived in the area to go all the time! Stopped in while passing through Jackson and loved everything about it. The atmosphere is perfect for studying or relaxing with a book. Coffee was delicious, and the staff was friendly. If I didn't live 7 hours away it would be a regular go to for me.

When I think of the perfect coffee she this is always it. The atmosphere here is not all hustle and bustle but rather something more laid back and relaxed. We were encouraged to sit and flip through one of the many books and just hang out. 10/10 would recommend.

Pastry: 3/5, Coffee: 4/5, Vibe: 3/5, Street parking, almost no people when i was visiting. I like here better than Urban Foxes coffee shop nearby.

First time I visit this place and I found it so beautiful. It's like a hidden gem in Jackson. The cinammon roll was delicious and fresh and coffee was good too.

Great little coffee/book shop with super friendly staff and laid back atmosphere. My Nancy Drew latte was fantastic!

I love this place and hadn't been in awhile. My boyfriend and I decided to visit after a long moving day. I do want to say that our barista was lovely and the service was fast. HOWEVER I believe that the quality in the food items have went down. I have been a barista before and I am shocked to say that my coffee was burnt. No flavor at all Our banana nut muffin was disgusting. It just tasted bland. I felt so embarrassed for hyping this place up to be a disappointment for both of us. I probably won't return and it makes me sad that my favorite coffee shop is going down like this.
