Absolutely love it here! Jorge is the BEST bartender. He makes it an awesome experience- best DJ ever. No doubt you’ll have fun here. We played volleyball and had drinks on the patio. So awesome.
Amazing service— Jorge was the sweetest and answered all of our question. Nice beach spot hidden from the strong wind, with a volleyball net. & When there isn’t live music the bartenders do so well on aux!! Highly recommend.
It's a cute, outdoor beach bar that has 2 volleyball courts. Very laid back, staff friendly, and patrons talkative/ welcoming. It's a great place to chill, enjoy the sun and socialize.
BEWARE!! The rooms look NOTHING like what is on their website! Beds are nice and comfortable but that’s about it! Bathroom was absolutely DISGUSTUNG, dirty, door is dry rotting, walls were super dirty. The main room was ok at best. Needs major paint and repair to walls and door trim. Late at night there is zero security and LOTS of drug activity…. no thank you!! On a positive, the staff is SUPER friendly which makes me feel bad to write this review. Very friendly and the bar tender was very friendly! Just beware before you book this!
They deserve below 1 star. We arrived after 5. Get a key from the bar. No one on staff, no hot water but you don't want to get in the shower. The room was filthy...seen 2 bugs. Air didn't work .....we left and went to another hotel.
This place is nothing but a dump! Mold on the walls, looks like it was painted by a child, door lock didn't work, bugs in room. And to make it worse they didnt even have our reservation. Luckily I had printed it out and they did give us a room. Not the beach view we wanted but probably the worst room they had! And they expected full payment for the beach view room - I paid them half, and that was too much! There was no closet or any place to hang your clothes. We both woke up itching from whatever they wash the sheets in. We looked at each other and said "lets get out of here". Probably the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. I would give it a negative rating if I could!
The bad: The AC was not so great, kind of in and out. The kitchen sink was not attached to the counter. The stove glass was broken. The bathroom had no vent or fan. The front door had a large gap at The bottom and mosquitos and who knows what else came in. The good: Great beach access!! The beds in the room were clean and super confortable! It had a kitchen with large fridge, microwave, stove, and kitchen sink, a huge plus for a family as we were able to make some meals in the room. Bar food was pretty good, hamburgers were really good. Their chips and salsa were awesome, we were back a few times for it. The staff were all super friendly to us, everyone we met! Over all, we had a great stay, we didn't plan on being in the room much anyway and we really made the most out of the trip. The nice clean beds were always great to come back to after the days activities!
Office is hard to get ahold of through phone or e-mail. One phone call I did have was sketchy/odd- it sounded like someones cell phone. The person answered with "hello?" and without a formal statement of the business name. I got locked out of my room twice due to keys not working. First time was just getting in after driving 18 hours- second time after I had just picked up a bag of ice that had to sit outside while the keys were getting reprogrammed. The rooms do have an old/possibly moldy smell. The best way I can describe them is like a furnished out house. The bed seemed comfy at first, but the longer I slept on it the more I realized it felt flimsy. The rooms do you have their own “Arus” AC units, which actually did work very well for me. It worked so well that I had to turn it off at night, because it got so cold, and was only able to do so, because I discovered the remote myself (no instructions anywhere,) and googled some of additional instructions for other settings. I had a king kitchen room. The faucet in the kitchen was wobbling obnoxiously loose and had almost no water pressure/just a slow drip. I thought the toilet wasn’t flushing, but then realized I had to just hold the handle down. I also thought the shower didn’t have any hot water, but it just took about 7 to 10 minutes of letting it run to warm up. The bathroom and shower was claustrophobic and small with no counter space, just a standalone sink. The shower curtain was not hanging properly on all of the hooks. The water in the shower drained extremely slow, so every time I used it, I was standing in a puddle of water. The blinds were janky and broken, and I had to adjust them a certain way to keep a section from being opened/visible to see in, which is especially uncomfortable being on the first floor, where people are walking by. The hotel and rooms are really just in need of a MAJOR makeover and renovation. They look very pretty from the pictures online. One of the things that disappointed me the most was the very few towels that were in the room and zero housekeeping. I was there for four nights and no one ever came for housekeeping- which, agreed from other reviews that I have read- would have been extremely nice due to the amount of sand that is brought in from the beach naturally. Because I only had a few towels, I constantly was trying to hang them up inside and they would never get dry (also using them to soak up water on the floor from the shower.) I eventually went to the office to ask for more towels, and the person behind the desk handed me a couple bar/kitchen towels (not actual bath towels.) On my last day as I was leaving, some type of roach crawled across the floor from near the mini fridge to under the bed. There is music playing constantly, which didn’t bother me very much as I couldn’t really hear it unless I opened my door. Hearing other guests on the patio in front of the room was more of an annoyance, but I was able to drown it out by leaving the TV on. The location is amazing with beach access just within a few steps, and the grill/bar was a plus. The bartenders were always friendly and attentive, and the food was good. The pool is very small, but that didn’t bother me because I wasn’t there for the pool. I only used it once at night and it felt like a hot tub. Loved the wash station for rinsing off when coming back from the beach. I was impressed with the low prices for both food and drinks. It wasn’t clear what hours the grill was open, which was inconvenient. I was trying to figure out if breakfast was an option and I never got that figured out, or if there is coffee, so I never got either there. The rooms do not have coffee makers so as someone that drinks coffee every morning, I went to Karma coffee shop/bookstore each morning, which was also not ideal. I will definitely be back to South Padre Island, but will have to try to determine if the negatives outweigh the positives for Coco Beach Hotel or vice versa. If you stay here, bring extra towels, and a broom!

We stayed our 1st night in a much older Comfort Inn. Woke up to Roaches crawling in the bed, on the walls, and all over the toilet paper!! We left!! We relocated to a brand new Comfort Inn, and everything was wonderful!!
We have eaten at the Palmâs Cafe for many years and love it because it is on the gulf side with a beach entrance right. This made it so nice to walk out of my hotel room and stroll down the beach for awhile. Front desk customers service upon arriva
Took us on a super short notice, like literally the same day at like 1am. Guy was pretty cool. Rooms are mid at best but hey for a quick night to sleep on short notice, who can complain you know? Overall alright. Thanks for taking us!
My wife and I stayed here last Saturday and Sunday, nice hotel....yes it is an older hotel but they seem to take care of things, our room was nice and we had a view of pool area. Nice having a Starbuck on-site. We ate at the restaurant one afternoon
We stayed in the suite. Very nice to have separate room for the grandparents. Hot breakfast, pool (with pool towels and restrooms nearby), comfortable beds, coffee available - even when requested late night. Friendly staff... from the reservation (fo
Went in for Christmas present and was pleasantly surprised by both the selection and the customer service. Rachel and Ashton helped my find a anklet that was just what I was looking for. Would go here again if looking for a present.
Amazing place to visit with kids. $10 for adults and kids under 4 are free so thatâs a huge bonus. Plus thereâs so much to see from large snakes, gators, and of course birds. We will go back!
When I don't feel like driving anywhere and want to walk to the beach, this access is the closest for me. There isn't much parking here but there are benches and a place to rinse off.
Entrance is by the convention center with plenty of parking. At the entrance is a small but nice park and restrooms. The walkways to the bay have informative signage and wide paths with railings. Some sections are covered and have seating for taking
Gonna Gonna Wanna Wanna go back! Fun to relax, sip a beverage or two... meet people. Just don't go during July 4th! Too hot & crowded. Food is nothing to brag about. Nicer on cooler weather!
I had the Buffalo Chicken Sammich. Large piece of chicken, sauced just right with all the fixins. I opted for tater tots as my side and was not disappointed. Our waitress was wonderful. We even have a bit of a bonding moment over manners. Wait time
This is an amazing park. The website has most of the information needed to plan a visit and reviews below about purchasing family packs and bringing your own food are very helpful. I wanted to write about how accessible it is for visitors who need wh
