I tried the carne asada and my hubby order the chori pollo. We both Loved our meals.
He ordered the smoking old fashion which was quite a presentation and yummy. I ordered the raspberry margarita with a sugar rim delightful!
We have been ordering take out from Cocina Maya for a few years now and just now dined in! Their food is our favorite in the Lake Mary and Sanford area! I judge Mexican restaurants by their rice and beans and theirs is excellent here! We usually get the enchiladas and the pick 3 but this time we got the steak fajitas and they were delicious as well! I’m always afraid that they’d be dry but here the meat was so juicy! Highly recommend!
Skip the Empanadas, the meat inside was dry and not good. The fajitas were phenomenal! Great portion and flavors! Didn't even need the tortillas. My daughter had the chicken Quesadilla and the grilled chicken was so delicious and well-seasoned.
My sister & brother in law have been to Cocina Maya before and really liked it so we went with them last night. The restaurant was ultra clean and the atmosphere was very upscale compared to many Mexican restaurants we’ve been to in the area. We all agreed the margaritas were wonderful! Hedy our server was excellent and the entrees were delicious. We realized that staffing in the past may not have been good for some but our experience was thoroughly enjoyable and exceeded our expectations. We met Gustavo the owner and he couldn’t have been more welcoming, friendly and appreciative of our patronage. We highly recommend!
Everything was amazing! My husband surprised me on our 13th Anniversary and he certainly impressed. We are coming back and bringing our friends with us! Good food, good drinks and amazing atmosphere. Stephanie was our waitress and she did her thing!
I've lived in the area for 6+ years and this may be the best food I've ever had here. The drinks were delicious and the food was so full of flavor. The portions were huge, and we can't wait to eat the leftovers. The staff was also incredibly friendly and genuinely cared about if we were enjoying ourselves. And, the food came out really quickly. It was pretty slow and quiet for Saturday lunch which we also enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

They strived to treat us right, service was perfect, food was delicious , the queso chorizo dip was too good, drinks were so tasty, ceviche was delicious , the octopus was tender (as it should be)
This is now my favorite Mexican restaurant!

This local lights display is nothing short of magical! It's a sea of lights, with literally every tree wrapped in sparkling color. And the lights flash in time with the music every half hour! It's unexpected and quite stunning. Thank you, Lake Mary!
