Highly recommended! This place had a special "Juneteenth" celebration for families of all ages when we arrived. The trails are easy, though parts were a bit muddy from the recent rains. Many birds can be heard and seen, including several bobolinks and a mallard mother with her ducklings. Peaceful hike in nature.
Beautiful walks through a true bygone salt farm. Several foot paths to choose, a pleasant walk beside Great Salt Bay, explore the fresh water pond at the center of the meadow. There are even pop-up sledding parties when it snows! A birder's delight throughout the year. A real gem...

A great place to watch birds, or go for a quiet walk in nature. Nice trails with beautiful scenery and views of the Great Salt Bay where I have seen seals along with the birds at times! You may walk dogs here but they must be on a leash at all times.
A spectacular spot on the shores of the Damariscotta River's Great Salt Bay. Beautiful walk across the unspoiled meadows and through shoreline forests. Can't beat the views! Pop-up sledding on the weekends when there is snow. Several miles of walking trails, including along the edge of Great Salt Bay.

Our service was friendly. We can not believe how many flavors of ice cream they have. They offer a very diverse selection of ice cream flavors. There is a cute gift shop here as well. The patio has the BEST views. Overall, we enjoyed stopping here.
