CMX Odyssey - IMAX - Movie theater in Burnsville - 14401 Burnhaven Dr, USA

The ladies who work in the ticket booth are always so pleasant and welcoming! The employees at the concessions stand are also nice and speedy. All reasons why this is my go-to theater. Now, if they would just recover the worn seats in the center sections of many of their theaters, it would be a 10 out of 10 experience.

Update: most of the public areas are still pretty nice, the arcade is gone. The bathrooms are still decent. The theater seats are getting really worn, like icky feeling worn! Still a decent enough theater. I was there 2 times on a Tuesday and the bar/restaurant was not open in the afternoon or nighttime. Pretty amazing theater. They have a bar you can get food are or drinks. The theater is set up nicely. Most of the staff is very friendly. Only ever had 1 problem and the manager was kind and made up for the problem quickly. Seats are comfy too.

Went on a Saturday afternoon. First impression is great. Good parking, nice entryway & great employees. Concessions are expensive $50 to $75 for two tickets & popcorn combo special for two people. Popcorn was cool not warm. Bathrooms are "ok". Seats are badly worn. Floor was filthy. Quality of movie clarity was poor - kinda looked like it was filmed in a steam room. The theater over all needs updating - a shame because it looks like it was a nice theater back in the day. The negative reviews are spot on. This theater is in decline. There are better & less expensive choices.

Nice theater. Good service. They've got the reclining seats, but they are getting a little old and worn.

Just a satisfactory movie experience overall. However, disappointed with their no drinks or food policy. Despite mentioning my allergy to tap water, I couldn't bring sealed mineral bottles. Additionally, I had coffee, and even though they don't sell hot drinks inside, I couldn't take it in. This has never happened to me at other movie theaters.

This is pretty much the theater I look to go to when I want to see a movie. It never seems busy, it's very clean, and it has the electric recliner seats. Has bar for alcohol I believe.

We got to bring our kiddos here for the first time - we hadn't personally gone after moving away from the area over a decade ago - and it was a fun blast from the past :) I had read several reviews about checked bags, no water bottles and poor seating but can say our experiences were vastly different: no one checked the small bag I brought (though I didn't have anything in there anyways), the food was the same standard fare you'd get at any concession place, and though we saw a smidge of chipped leather on some seats (like three out of an entire area) on our way to ours, it certainly didn't seem run down in any way. The aesthetics of the place are beautiful, the theater was clean and the staff friendly and we definitely enjoyed our visit :)

This place could use a renovation. The theater is fine. The price is not bad $11/ adult. They have recliner seats but they were worn out. The menu was not accurate at the co sessions as to what they offer and has the wrong prices for everything. The decor is old and tacky. The carpets were dirty and the bathroom had broken sinks and toilet.
