Do not stay at this place. We killed over 15 flies on the first night. We contacted the management and they said they would take care of it. We went out for the day and when we came back there were more flies. We opened up the closet where the garbage is to find a roach. Place is not cleaned. Carpet is dirty. Do not let the pictures fool you. Please review your hotels before you spend your money. Would not recommend this one.

Lovely resort with 2 pools at oceanside. Fantastic staff. So very quiet and a perfect destination to sit and watch the sunset.Wyndham seems to have the best resorts and locations! You will definitely need a car when traveling to the Big Island as there are no real buses to take you around unless you purchase an excursion.||

The of the resort is very confusing and the signage is not great. Be ready to get lost a few times. Also your garage access code may not work. They have a back up code it may make sense to ask for it up front. And the sign out front is hidden by hedges so you might drive right by the first time. The resort grounds are in pretty good shape but there is a little deferred maintainence on walk ways. One side of the building has wonderful ocean front views. The other building has views only of parking lots and the other building. The unit was quite large and clean. The TV in the living was surprisingly small, bedroom sized. Also the unit was pretty quiet inside, not much noise transfer at all. The parking garage is very tight so large cars are difficult. The AC is tied into senors on doors and windows so if the unit is not tightly locked there is no AC. In my case the issue turned out to be a dead battery in the sliding senor. It took two tries for maintenance to figure it out and fix it. Maintance did come quickly each I called. When i tried to run the dishwasher it did not work. Again, maintenance came quickly and fixed. It would have been better had the items not been broken to begin with. All in all, a relaxing resort in a good location. You can walk into town to lots of restaurants and shopping.

I stayed here in 2022 on a loaned timeshare. Here's the thing with this place. The location is fine (but note, it is not on a usable beach, they are accurate when they say "sea cliff", you are on a cliff. We trekked down to the beach area, but don't even think about swimming or getting in). And it's Hawaii, so take this review with a grain of salt that you are not going to be spending a ton of time in the hotel. But my gosh, the cockroaches. They were EVERYWHERE. We had a first floor room with a porch access to the outside. And we used the grill at the pool to cook ourselves some steaks and brought them back to the room. Well, we made the dumb decision to eat outside. And not 2 minutes from sitting outside at dusk, we were being swarmed by flying cockroaches. And once they got a smell of meat, they were squeezing themselves through the balcony door to get into the room. We had a similar experience making the dumb decision to go upstairs to the top of the property and sit on one of the couches near the stairs overlooking the cliff edge and water. I kid you not, the absolute biggest cockroach I have ever seen in my life (it had to be the size of a credit card) crawled out from under the couch. And once it saw us, it started to skitter, and man was this thing FAST. Needless to say, we were quite freaked out. I know that generally one wouldn't expect much from a timeshare property, but goodness gracious did this turn me off from ever ever ever even staying in a timeshare again.

My wife and I completely enjoyed our stay, while vacationing at the Wyndham Royal Sea Cliff resort in Kona. It is perfectly located within all the seaside sights and various restaurants. Scenery was absolutely beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Wyndham Royal Sea Cliff Resort to anyone who is considering visiting the Big Island of Hawaii.

Great rooms, and many have at least a partial ocean view. The staff are really nice and prompt when you need something. There's plenty of free parking in the garage, and it's gated. They have two pools and a hot tub. The main pool is really nice, with an eating area and bathrooms. The weekly activities aren't free anymore - there is a charge for each one. They have a storage room with snorkeling gear, beach stuff, and floaties, although nothing is guaranteed to be there. For Wyndham, they want you to book your activities down the street at the main Wyndham resort, although the concierge can help you if needed. There aren't any sidewalks from the property into town, so we saw several folks walking in the bike lane.

Nice location but the beach in rock not sand. We had a ground floor unit with walk out to the pool. The parking was confusing some spots are for full time tenants

A very nice resort setting. Great service and friendly staff. The only thing that irked me was that the furniture, especially the couch was filthy. Our couch could of used a good shampooing before we arrived.

Not sure how old the building is but the units appear almost new. Our two bedroom was with full kitchen. No problems cooking meals. Just close enough to be near the water and the nightlife without keeping us awake when we stayed in.

This is one of the nicest suites we’ve stayed in. Like, ever. We had room 314, and it simply doesn’t get much better. We had a commanding view of the ocean, with the waves lapping the shore. I always sleep like a baby with the noise of the ocean.
