Alright, the house is cool and all that. But what made the trip was going down to the small beach tidepool area next to it. I loved exploring the tiny little universes between the rocks and little pools of sea creature ecosystems. I got to see crabs, sea stars, hermit crab parties, and a beautiful view of the water.

Nice walk along the ocean with views of the frank Lloyd wright house and many other displays of excessive wealth. Bring a jacket the wind coming off that water is as cold as the souls of many of the people 'living' here.

Historical tour today. Very small rooms with even smaller bathrooms. Triangle pattern to the layout. Classic FLR. Great views from most rooms. Great docents helping with explanations. Frank's ideas are beautiful but not practical.
We rented electric bikes and rode our bikes over to this location. The view was absolutely breathtaking. And the bike ride was fantastic. I would definitely recommend adding this to your list while you are staying in Carmel by the sea we rented our bikes from the British bike shop in town. They were electrical bikes, which made it very easy to go up and down hills. 10 out of 10 recommend
This Frank LLoyd Wright house sits on a bluff overlooking Carmel Beach. in a spectacular location. Although it was not open to the public, you can see elements of this famous architects roof design from a walking path. Well known for fitting the design of the home to the landscape, he used stone walls and a roof line that fits the ocean scene for this house.
Only see from outside. Private property. Walked along scenic road, saw some nice beach houses & whales in far, far ocean, jetting the water.
