Had dinner here as part of Restaurant Week. Be like the location and atmosphere of Cliff’s. Very friendly staff. It’s cozy and just enjoyed being here. It looks like the menu for restaurant week was created special. Unfortunately everything served to us arrived luke warm / cold. The French onion soup was overly sweet and thick. Two of the party ordered prime rib medium rare. Everything on the plate was cold. Flavors were ok but hard to get past temperature. We did tell our server the issue. She offered to take it back for warmup but that would ruin prime rib. Normally wait staff notifies manager if there is an issue. Don’t know if that happened as no one came to the table. We would try again to see if special menu just threw them off.
My daughter and I visited Kansas City for Thanksgiving and I searched for a vegan dinner option due to her food allergies and my dietary preferences.
I discovered this restaurant through a vegan KC Facebook group and was delighted to find they had reservations still available.
Our Thanksgiving dinner experience was absolutely spectacular, from the cozy atmosphere, welcoming customer service, seasonal mocktail selection, and the delectable food. My daughter even declared it her second favorite tofu!
Our meal was so spectacular that we decided to ditch our restaurant plans for day two in Kansas City and eat at Cliffs again.
Let me tell you, round two was just was wonderful. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed the selections off of the daily menu.
If you’re in Kansas City and you have a vegan in your group, this place is the perfect selection of vegan, vegetarian and Omni options.
We will absolutely stop here again when in the area.
I have eaten here several times and the service is always excellent! Came for brunch today and enjoyed the bottomless mimosas. Because they have the best sweet potato fries I have ever tasted, we all got sandwiches. My buffalo chicken sand. was good, the salmon club was unique and excellent! Waffle fries were nice and crispy. The dark chocolate tart was a hit as well. I also love the fact that on Thursdays they contribute part of their earnings to a charity, which they rotate. The owner is very friendly and is out interacting with his guests. I'm considering using their spacious patio for my bridal shower. Nice to go somewhere you feel good about spending your hard earned money!
My husband and I ate at Cliff’s for KC restaurant week 2024. We had the absolute best service. Their restaurant week menu was wonderful! We definitely look forward to coming back to Cliff’s. The atmosphere was very nice, we have nothing but great things about our date night. Highly recommend!

For our first time trying Cliff’s it was great! Our server had a welcoming personality and was able to make many entrée and cocktail suggestions. I’m sorry I don’t recall the names of everyone’s meals. I can say nothing was rejected and plates were cleaned 😋.

Absolutely amazing! Lots of options for anyone with different diets, vegan, gluten free, etc. Ki was an amazing waitress and was so friendly with the suggestions on the menu. The patio is lovely. Highly recommended!
Always love coming here. The daily specials and desserts are hit. And they have the best sweet potato, the fries in the entire city. I definitely appreciate the LGBTQ+ influence too. 🌈 Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. So glad we have it in our neighborhood.
Tried to go the the brunch place down the road and waited 30 min with no service. Left and found this gem! 10/10 delicious and welcoming, we’ll be back!
