Our recent stay at Victoria's Place was exceptional.||||It was a great home. We lodged in the suites and really enjoyed the temporary luxury after putting on a lot of miles on the Katy Trail. The view of the river is fantastic.||||And the meals were out of this world. My recollection is that my wife said "best breakfast ever" after downing a NOLA-inspired spread.||||More striking was Victoria's generosity. We had hastily arranged the Katy Trail trip on Thanksgiving week and it just so happened that we landed in Jefferson City on Thanksgiving Day. I had relayed to Victoria my slight anxiety at finding some food when everything was likely closed up. Thinking she may know a local place or two that may be open. But she had celebrated Thanksgiving earlier in the week and was eager to share a meal with us and a few of her friends. It was a great evening with amazing food and conversation.||||We will be back.

We recently stayed at Victoria's and all I can say is, WOW! What a fantastic place from the location and view to the friendliness and food. We were promptly greeted by Victoria and given a tour of the home and our room. She showed us how everything worked and answered any questions we had. The room was spacious and beautiful. A very cozy bed and large adjoining bathroom/dressing room. There was an attached porch as well overlooking the river. After we arrived home from our evening event, Victoria offered us a drink and we sat by the fire having a wonderful conversation. The following morning a SPECTACULAR breakfast was served along with coffee/tea. We left feeling very well rested and with full bellies. This beats ANY hotel. HANDS DOWN! WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!!

Decided to give Victoria's Place by the River a try when the thought of another night in a motel sent my spirits falling. Easy to find. Right by the river. Very clean and bright -- it was the smartest thing I've done in a while. I was welcomed at the door and the welcome never stopped. I had a room with the shared bath, which worked fine for me, but the suites also looked marvelous too. Each night I could walk into town for a good meal and each morning started the day with a great breakfast prepared to meet my schedule. Warm hostess. A brandy (or wine) to end the day. The richness of knowing you are in an historic home. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Jefferson City. ||I didn't do the Katy Trail, but think it would be ideal for those making that trip. ||I can't say enough positive.

I stayed here as part of a bike tour and had a wonderful time.||||Our hostess was warm and friendly and very knowledgeable about the trail and area.||||I stayed in one of the suites. The room as large and wonderful. It had a jacuzzi, which felt great after a day of riding. The balcony in the room had a great view of the river. My traveling companions and I very much enjoyed our complimentary wine while sitting out their enjoying the view.||||The breakfast was outstanding!||||If I very have a reason to to get back to Jeff City this is definitely where I'm staying!

My husband and I needed a little weekend getaway and enjoyed our stay at Victoria's Place - We will recommend to our friends. View of river was awesome and walking distance to a local pub that had great food and drinks. Breakfast that was offered was very good along with snacks and drinks in the kitchen at all times.

A fantastic location for the Katy but would be great for any reason. The bike bridge over the Missouri from the Katy practically ends at the front step. The view back over the river from the house is wonderful. The house itself is a nice part of the city’s history with the character and architectural features that let you know you’re staying somewhere real. ||||Victoria was also happy to make a Paleo breakfast so any Paleo people visiting Jefferson City, this is your stop. ||||Finally, I really enjoyed the off season visit here. Bring the right gear for the Katy; enjoy the views of the bluffs and river without leaves and the firm to hard trail bed. Few things as nice as pedaling into Victoria’s on a cold day, warming up in the inn, and then walking a half block to Paddy’s for dinner and a beer.

Victoria and staff family made our stay just wonderful. From greeting us as we rode up hours before checkin and allowing us to get into our clean, quaint room early to recommendations on the best places to eat to a wonderful, delicious breakfast, our stay could not have been more perfect. We highly recommend it to cyclists because of it's close proximity to the Katy Trail and to anyone looking for a welcoming, cozy place to stay.

This was a fun experience. Beautiful bed and breakfast in a old house. Be sure to ask about the bathroom set up when you book, not all rooms have a private bath. Great breakfast and we were surprised with on the trail warm bread just before leaving.
