This building is stunning. The inside is even better. We came for The Archive but stayed for the rest. So much literature here. You could spend years going through everything. So much history. Old pictures of Cleveland back in the day on display. A nice Superman display as well. Not many people were here. Parking in the area is $$. We parked at the Port of Cleveland Lot and paid $4.50/hr and had a nice short walk to the library. If you live near Cleveland, you have to check this out.
This is a huge public library. The building is gorgeous and is intricately decorated with marble pillars and staircases and intricate brass and wooden trim. The detailed architecture is amazing. There is an astronomical number of books available of course. They had a special display about Superman and another display of hanging wildflowers. Everything is free. This place is a GEM.
I had a wonderful (all too brief) time exploring the main branch of the Cleveland Public Library.
There was a special exhibit with dried flowers hanging from the ceiling and filling the room.
From there I went upstairs and discovered the chess collections, a mural commissioned by the WPA during the 1930s, and an amazing Superman exhibit. There was so much more to explore, but I only had an hour.
I wish I could have spent more time here but I was only in Cleveland for a day. I visited the floral art installation which was stunning. I got to wander around the building a little bit and the architectural design of the building is equally as intriguing as the massive variety of books they carry
Full of great history and beautiful architecture. Each floor/room had its own special details to admire. Amazing array of books and maps etc that can only be found at this location. Truly a gem and one of a kind, definitely worth visiting.
I can't say enough good things about the Cleveland Public Library! It's beautiful, massive, and staffed with friendly people more than willing to help. My first visit was today on my lunch break - and I spoke to no less than three librarians who got me what I needed and out the door in under 20 minutes!
We went to see the Rebecca Louise Law exhibit.
Having not been to the building for decades, it was comforting to find it remains well maintained & we enjoyed the ornate ceilings, etc.
We parked on E 6th.
CLE's App-driven STREET PARKING meters SUCK!
We tried, twice, to pay via their App - what a frustrating MESS! Luckily I had some quarters & managed to avoid moving to a parking lot.
A few days ago I stopped by the Tech Center at the downtown Cleveland Public Library to make copies. The service I received was awesome. I needed assistance with the entire process. I had never printed copies from my phone. The individual who helped me was considerate, kind,
professional and very personable. The assistance was greatly appreciated.
I must also say I was blown away by the
Sophistication of the Center. Modern. Cheerful space with a 3D printer WOW

The Bake Shop, a.k.a. the Roaming Biscuit, is an excellent takeout breakfast spot with a great vibe. Although primarily takeout, there is a small wood paneled room next to the counter area with a scattering of tables and chairs where you can enjoy yo

We had a lovely ground floor view near the harpist for this year's last Christmas Concert of the season. To be honest, you cannot put a review on the world's finest orchestra - their ability to bring joy, peace, and wonder no matter what composers cr
