Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a must stop for year-long fun. During summer you can visit the animals, in fall plan a visit for Boo at the Zoo. My family's favorite tradition is to visit the Cleveland Zoo for Wild Winter Nights. Walking through the beautiful light displays and listening to the carols is a holiday treat. You think it would be too cold, but a hot chocolate or mulled cider warms you up! This year, we tried the drive-through, and it was just as enjoyable! I look forward to seeing Wild Winter Nights in winter, as much as I enjoy visiting the animals during summer.

One of the most beautiful and well kept zoos I have been too. Delicious food, fun extra activities, great hands on play and experience for the kids to enjoy. The elephant exhibit was particularly amazing. We love visiting even though we are from out of town and the Zoo is so large we spend hours there without seeing it all! So fun!

We visited the zoo on a Sunday night in August to see the Lantern Festival. We only had a few animal.sightings, so I can't say much about that. However, the Festival we went for was amazing. We were there a little before dark, so we had a chance to see everything before and after it was lit up. If you have a chance to visit the zoo for this event, I highly recommend doing so. Absolutely beautiful with lots of photo ops and just a really awesome experience to walk through (we did not do the driving tour).

The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo offers a captivating experience with a diverse range of wildlife. From the expansive African Elephant Crossing to the lush RainForest, the exhibits are well-maintained and provide an immersive environment. The zoo's commitment to conservation is evident, and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. However, some areas might be crowded during peak times. Overall, it's a fantastic destination for families and animal enthusiasts alike.

We went to the winter light festival & we had lots of fun. We go every year because we love the lights &they change it the lights. They have a vendor who sells warm nuts & a variety of popcorn, must try! At the top there's a stand where you can buy other treats, but let me recommend their hot apple cider and hot cocoa, It's a great way to make holiday memories 🤩

The Asian Lantern Festival is a must-see! So many lights and lanterns and exhibits that just keep getting better and better the further you go. You can see them lit up very easily even at dusk because of all the trees. We walked it and it was an easy walk and even though there were lots of people, it flowed very smoothly. Loved it!

Every year we attend the Asian Lantern Festival at the zoo. While it is not the same experience relative to seeing the animals as you would in the daytime, it is still an awesome experience for the family. The festival lights and displays are great, and we still got to see wide awake and active Tigers, Elephants, Wolves, Beavers, Reindeer, Bison and many other animals (along with some sleeping ones). The zoo is clean, the staff is friendly and whomever is responsible for putting on this event does a great job.

Went for the Xmas light show. Our 9yo wanted to do the train ($5) and the zip line ($9). We went last year during bitter cold and there wasn’t the various extras or even extra food options. We wound up getting hot chocolate (~$5) and a scoop of pretty tasty butter pecan ice cream (~$5). And then we also got roasted nuts and two kinds of popcorn (~$23). Our group had a 4-pack ticket which made it a bit cheaper for a group. And, parking was available in the closest lot which was great… I really enjoyed seeing wildlife in a dark scene - for instance you could find a beaver swimming under the water (pictured), and of course your kid will want to take a million pics (pictured). Dress warm, and maybe bring a thermos. And a wagon is a good idea to haul the things you don’t want to carry. We had waits for the zip line (maybe 10min) for the carousel (3-4min) and waiting for the train (8-9min).

I love our zoo! I would say it's a good sized zoo, not too big but not too small. There are plenty of animals to see between the main zoo, the upper cat/gorilla area, and the rainforest area The Asian lantern festival is also super cool! As a local
