Clear Bay Trails Trailhead - Hiking area in Norman - 1213-1295 Clear Bay Ave, USA

I did the green loop today (approx. 3 miles) and had lots of fun going fast throughout the whole thing. However, the ticks were absolutely ridiculous. They do have a warning on the sign about bugs but I was not expecting find 5 ticks on me before I could even shower. Overall, it was very fun,I'll definitely be coming back soon.

Good trails that are easy to find off the road. Lost of sand, so I’m glad I brought my 650b+. Also a lot of stumps and fallen trees on the trails. Bring OFF/BUG SPRAY. There are a TON of ticks and chiggers, learned the hard way and had to head back early. (Rode in June/July) Also, even though it’s a state park, there is no signs posted about paying a day fee.

Very well maintained trails! I only did the blue loop 3.2 miles but it was very beautiful and not many other people were there. I will definitely be going back, I walked with my pup but I can imagine biking would be a lot of fun and the trails are nice enough that it wouldn't be difficult.

Went last Sunday with our pups. The trails were mostly wide, and they were well maintained. Given the number of cars parked near the trailhead, I expected to pass lots of other people. Nope, three bicyclists. That's it. We'll definitely go again.

Such a pretty area never hiked just by the lakeside

This is one of our favorite places to ride horses. It is close to our home. That is why it is so convenient and easy for us. They are flat and easy trails. They are great for in an experienced rider or a young horse or just learning also a great place to meet up with family and friends to ride. The trails are well-kept.

PET OWNERS & HIKERS BEWARE!! Even with layers and layers of Off!, medication, and a tick collar, our poor puppy had over 200 ticks when we got home! We also had about 20 ticks on us as well. I have gone hiking in a ton of places in Oklahoma, Texas, and Kansas and have never had an issue with ticks until coming to these trails. We absolutely loved the trails themselves, but we unfortunately will not be coming back. Even with protection, the ticks here are relentless!!! 😭

Just finished part of the green, red, yellow, and blue and took the easy straight way back due to a flat tire. Wouldn’t recommended the blue if it’s rained within a day or two because there were a couple muddy sections and it rained two days ago. Also got a few ticks so it would be a good idea to check yourself after a ride.
