Claytor Lake Inn - Motel in Dublin - 5080 State Park Rd, USA

Nastiest place ever!!!!! We had a coupon for here they refused it saying that it was no longer used there. Coupon had a valid date. Went into room nasty sheets and bed sheets had stains that looked like they had bed bugs. Fridge was unplugged and dirtys. Bathroom was dirty. Air conditioning did not work. We showed clerk and he gave another room. This 1 was worse then the 1st!! It smelled like someone died! Opened fridge smelled rotten. Went no further and got worker again. Im immune compromised didnt dare to stay or ask for another. They did refund our stay but never offered to clean it. Ended up going somewhere 5 mins away at the super 8 in christiansburg that was much better.

It's in a beautiful location. But it's a cheap hotel. Your lucky it's been cleaned. Or Atleast you hope it has..

My family and I stayed at this location for one week, as we were waiting on the move in date for our new home. At first, there seemed to be no issues. As the week went on, there have been numerous. For starters, the “nonsmoking” rooms are FILLED with cigarette smoke and marijuana smoke seeping in from the room next to us. So much so that you can literally see the smoke through the light from the windows. Even blocking the huge gaps under the main and side doors did not help eliminate or keep the smoke out. Calling and complaining does absolutely nothing by the way, I guess they’re okay with people doing whatever they want in their “nonsmoking” rooms. Next, as if the smoke wasn’t bad enough, while taking our service dog to use the bathroom another unleashed dog was let outside from a room, unattended, and proceeded to run up and try to attack my service dog and I. Again, calling to complain has done nothing. Additionally, my husband and I just found out that someone has entered our room while we were gone one day, and has taken not only our towels but other belongings as well. The owner/boss is not willing to do anything to make this right. We are looking into other options at the moment, because this is unacceptable. If you stay here, make sure it’s not for a week or more at a time. You’ll call and complain to be told nothing will be done and… no money back. Shocker.

Excellent budget friendly rooms and services. Very near to the highway and Claytor Lake State Park. Very friendly and helpful people in the motel.

This is a horrible place to stay. There are roaches in the room, water constantly in the bathroom floor, to get sheets and blankets, toilet paper is almost impossible. Manager excuses you for taking things that you never received. Unbelievable place. Would not recommend it to anyone.

It's a great place to get a good nice sleep. It's not like a plush ,but it's quiet has a little refrigerator, microwave & it was packed with quest ,but still very quiet & staff & Stephanie was fabulous. Very friendly & the price for June was great.

I stayed here May 9th 2022. The bad reviews made me drive right past it but due to the outrageous city and county taxes closer to town I ended up coming to see if it really was that bad and I'm glad I did. The owner is a very nice lady, staff was friendly and there was no complaints at all with the room itself. The room was clean and had everything you needed for a overnight stay. Plenty of restaurants and shopping is only 2 exits away. I assured the owner I would be back. For the money the location and peacefulness was 5 star alone. I highly recommend checking this place out. It's by itself but very close to everything. I also suggest you pick up the motel coupon book to get a even better price.

The new owners have really improved the rooms.
