Clarke's Motel - Motel in Shively - 4700 Dixie Hwy, USA

Ok so I most definitely did not pick this place & would never. A couple of friends & I were hanging out for the night & one got a room at this raggedy joint. Upon arriving in the room at 1st look it looks average nothing spectacular but average. Boy was I wrong the beds are literally sitting on the floor no frame whatsoever. 2 box springs & a mattress HEAVILY WRAPPED in plastic but the bed bugs are visible through the plastic. The room had a faint sewage smell & staff were rude AF honestly. Definitely recommend anywhere but this place. I left & went home after a while & the other 2 people I was with did as well

Clean little room went to visit a friend and it was better than I thought it would be. They are newly renovated rooms. They only take cash

This motel is FULL of bedbugs! Me and my man stayed for one night and their were bedbugs coming from all types of directions of the bed. I got ate up by bedbugs the whole time. The mattress had a bedbug plastic cover on it but it don't do no good. The whole motel needs updating bad especially the rooms and bathrooms. The headboard fell off the wall because it was so old. I would NOT recommend going here at all, at any time. I would rather stay in my car then in that motel and that's sad. They need to just tear it down. Period.

I stayed because my apartment flooded and maintenamadw a mess of my apartment. The lady in the front was patient and kind even though I woke her up with my later arrival to get a room, the tub is just the right size to de stress but not fall asleep and sink in, I didn't get bit by anything, the bathroom was clean and towels weren't worn, stained or stinky, I felt safer than in most hotels I've stayed in. My only iffy part is no chain lock on the door so I put the chair under the door knob, there was a safe lock on the door so I was fine and i understand why the locks are like that. People think because it's "on the cheaper side" it's convenient to use whatever drug and stay over check out time and the owner has to be able to gain access. Replacing doors and locks and frames aren't cheap by any means. I will go back and recommend.

Location is great. You have food options all around you. You can walk across the street to Applebee's or grab some coffee at Scooters or go couple blocks to McDonald's. Many choices! The rooms need updated really bad. Just new carpet would be nice! Some of staff is very friendly n helpful when I was there. The owners at least the woman is very rude and thinks she is better than everyone. At least you don't have to deal with her that often. Prices are reasonable at least in these times and the deposit is too. That is the reason we chose to spend 3 weeks there as it was during covid and was trying to find a house to rent at the time. I like how they have security at night and won't just let anyone in after dark.

Occasionally I like to get away for some me time. Well last night I chose Carks motel. My daughter warned me not to. Well let me say sometimes I should listen. The lady at the desk was very rude. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was drafty and cold. Just a little bit of toilet paper. I had to get napkins from my car. Every time I stepped outside to smoke I was watched. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I was put in a room next to a man that's a resident. The lady from house keeping told me he was a nice man but, couldn't hear Well. Knowing that I should have been put in a room farther. With that being said, I couldn't sleep because of the neighbors TV being so loud. And check was at 8 am. Don't recommend.

The place is beyond and by far from being clean, they charged us another day on my card after we left not to mention the black mold and the leaks from the shower into the closet under the carpet. I will be writing to the business bureau on this place. Disgusting

Awful. Paid nightly price for almost 2 weeks and when I switched rooms found bed bugs infested under the mattress ranging in sizes from babies to huge bugs and the bottom sheet was stained from it. Didn't get anything but attitude after bringing it to their attention and cops threatened on me while waiting for my ride to leave because they were mad. If you're a clean person I don't recommend staying here
