Clarion Pointe Sulphur - Lake Charles - Hotel in Sulphur - 325 Arena Rd, USA

Everything was fine until I went to take a bath to soak my aching body! The tub had a bad soap scum ring, very noticeable and long! We'll be sticking with comfort inn and suites! They did have someone come clean it which I'm grateful for after 3 days driving!

Nice location with lots of restaurants near by. Customer service was decent except for this one lady who could not make a single english sentence. Should not be customer service. She was rude and very unhelpful and uneducated in her position. She refused to stay at the desk as well. She sits in the GM office I assume to play on her phone. everyone else sat at the desk ready to help customers. The room was nice minus the bathroom. They clearly do not clean as they should. The toilet was covered in urine including all over the seat. The bathtub had a disgusting tint to it from never being cleaned. The shampoo bottles mounted to the wall weren’t secured so i could pull them out and I find nothing but mold growing all over the spouts. Absolutely disgusted.

First they over charged $130 for one night due to a softball tournament in town. The hotel is a one star hotel. Room was not clean and bathroom was disgusting. Internet was super slow. The only thing that was out for breakfast was waffles, cereal, and coffee. I work on Sulphur 3-4 times a week and I will never stay there again.

Nice clean room, reasonable rates. Nice size warm pool. Limited breakfast options. Super quiet. Ice machine works (this is important for through travelers and infrastructure workers)

Our reservation at Wood spring was cancelled so choice hotels gave us free points so we rented from Clarion. Once the mgr realized we rented the Jacuzzi suite with points, not cash, they removed this room as an option for renting with points. And that's sad.

The room had a mildew odor with mildew near the shower so we went next door to Dollar Tree to get bleach so we could spray the shower and toilet and noticed after spraying the toilet looked like years of urine was rolling down the seat . Check out time is at 11 and at 9:30 the cleaning crew was trying to enter the room ( They were in a hurry for us to get the hell out so they can clean) Never Again!!

Clean rooms. Friendly staff. The only slightly disappointing thing was no eggs or that type of thing on breakfast bar, which I typically find in the Choice chain hotels.

The hotel is a mess! The rooms are hot and flies are everywhere ! The breakfast in the morning was lukewarm - the yogurt was not cold. Coffee was old. The hospitality was a zero- I had to ask for our room to be cleaned and nothing. Our entire stay beds were not made! I had to go to front desk to request towels everyday! Customer service was worse! I told them about my issues and I was told to write an email. There was nothing that could be done.
