The hotel is actually nice in that it is newly remodeled and is clean. The rooms are also nice looking and clean. It felt safe. I rated it lower due to the musty smell and damp feel in our room. Unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me. The air fresheners in lobby/breakfast area were off-putting and not a pleasant smell. The breakfast was nice for the price of the rooms. Overall, if the smells of our room and lobby were dealt with, this would be a lovely stay.
When we arrived, the lobby looked freshly renovated and clean. When we got to our first room, it smelled of mildew or mold, figuring it was just that the AC was off and it was musty, we turned the air on and sat for a few minutes. The odor did not dissipate even though the room was no longer humid. Upon inspection, there were multiple spots of mildew forming on the wall. The bathroom was not cleaned (hair on vanity, dirty mirror, hair in bathtub), and the toilet did not flush. We quickly received another room, this one did not smell like mildew however there were 2 spots forming on the wall near the AC. The bathroom was better but still not clean, as there was hair in the bathtub as well. The beds were clean in both rooms, the pillows were very soft, but the beds were very firm. The pool was closed due to rain that was in the area before our arrival, even though we arrived late and would not have had much time to swim anyway. We only stayed one night and will likely be booking elsewhere if we are in the area in the future. I would strongly recommend the hotel work with the cleaning staff to ensure rooms are up to par, and to work on remediating the mold or mildew in at least two rooms.
We loved our stay! The place was very quiet. The pool isn't too deep for children who are beginners. Breakfast is nice. I would prefer scrambled over hard boiled, but with today's healthy eating, it works. There is no elevator, but the stairs aren't a bad walk. The hotel is in walking distance to a few places to eat and grocery stores. I had called Amanda before I even booked the reservation. She was friendly and willing to answer every question I had. Thanks to Amanda being so friendly and welcoming, we can't wait to return. I was also acknowledged several times for being a choice member. They also have special parking spots for certain levels of choice members.
Came in for town for an event at Winthrop Coliseum and was looking for a nice inexpensive place to stay. Clarion Point was very close. The owner and staff were very friendly during check in and check out. The hotel is very clean and smelled very good. Our room was spacious for relaxing, it was clean, and modern. They do have a free breakfast but the only hot items were potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy. You could make waffles and toast. Since we were on a keto diet we could only eat a boiled egg. Wish they would have had scrambled eggs and a meat choice. Not sure if they change up the hot items. They did have cereal, fruit, and yogurt. Would highly recommend if you are looking for clean, convenient and reasonable price.
Not staying there again! No elevator for the second floor, no A/C in the hallways of the hotel. The pool closes at 9pm and if it rains, they close it for 2 days. Annoying! Especially in 97° heat! Breakfast was ok. Rooms were clean, that’s about the only positive thing I’ve got.
Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The beds were comfortable and clean, but what we saw was a lot of condensation by the AC unit when we woke up. The room smelled fine, but if that condensation isn't addressed, we could see mold being an issue.
This pet friendly hotel was perfect for traveling from New York to Florida From the front desk check-in to the Friendly staff, to the clean quiet room, to the free breakfast … not one complaint! We’ll definitely be back next time we take the drive again …vs flying!
Exceptionally clean rooms, friendly staff, good break breakfast lobed outdoor pool and affordable. Highly recommend staying here.
I started at Burn during the 4 week promo and signed up half way through my trial! I love the welcoming environment, the structured work outs and having a safe place my kids can hang out while I focus on myself! The staff immediately remembered my na
Best wine ever! The owner John is so passionate about the quality and purity of his wine, and it shows! No added sugar or sulfites! The kitties are super friendly too. Even if you donât like wine, you will definitely find one you like! Canât
Had the fresh strawberry tea and it was amazing! Just the right amount of sweetness and perfectly refreshing. It's a little bit on the pricey side ($15 for two drinks) but definitely worth the expense for a treat. The staff is very nice and welcoming
