We didn’t mean to stay in Asheville but we are vacationing 2 hours away and my mom fell ill and had to be hospitalized. A night nurse recommended this hotel and said traveling nurses often stay here. It was 1 mile away from the hospital.|It was extremely nice. Everything in our room was clean and modern. The beds were heavenly. This is one of the nicer hotels I have stayed in for the price we paid. The manager who checked us in was very polite (I didn’t catch his name, though). I would definitely stay here again if I needed to.
Booked a room here hours before arriving and could not be more pleased with our stay. Upon checking in, I was met with the friendliest front desk staff member who was so helpful and had great suggestions on local hikes. I wasn’t expecting much out of the room but was pleasantly surprised to find an extremely clean, comfortable room! Breakfast in the mornings is nice (albeit a bit crowded as the breakfast area is small) and the man replenishing the food was so nice and friendly! Location was great too and would be especially nice for anyone visiting the Biltmore.
My kid had a surgery scheduled for 6am so we needed a hotel close as we live 2.5 hours away from that center. Check in was smooth and Anyelo went out of his way to explain the best way to get in and out of the lot and to make my son comfortable since it was his first time sleeping away from home. Even gave him a candy bar. He loved it and the beds were comfy too.
Overall, this is a good place to stay and no major complaints. However, one problem we experienced were the USB power connections did not work properly. At the front office, in the computer/business room, were two top notch iMacs for customer use that got me out of my jam. Very nice! I would like to give a special shout out to the young man named Chris who worked at the front desk. He went out of his way more than once to make sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met! Specifically, he let us borrow a multifaceted phone charger/computer charger and printed off a small document for me. It was a nice personal touch to the experience.
Positive: Location, breakfast was good. Breakfast crew seemed to be a bit grumpy but other staff seemed nice Negative: Bathroom was very small but not that big a deal. We would rather have inside rooms but it was still quiet around us.
It's so rare to enjoy everything about a hotel stay, but this was a treat from the moment we drove in. We started at the Country Inn and Suites in town on May 18, 2024, and checked in with the most delightful young man by the name of Angelo Pacheco. He recommended a great restaurant that we liked very much. This hotel was outstanding but we wanted to stay someplace closer to the Biltmore on May 21 and 22, 2024, but weren't sure of a hotel. Angelo directed us to the Clarion Inn. We were just about 1 mile from the Biltmore. Perfect! Angelo was there the nest evening and again, he was so helpful and fun! We will definitely stay where Angelo is again!
Nice hotel but needs a little improvement here and there.
We checked in in the evening and were given a room on the third floor facing highway traffic. There were no elevators so it was not fun taking luggage up two flights if stairs.
The door did not seal well at the floor and we could constantly hear cars driving by. We put some pillows and blankets down and turned on the AC and it mostly got rid of the noise.
Otherwise, the beds were comfortable and the shower was hot. We did not have any disturbances during our stay. The staff was very friendly.
The front desk personnel was outstanding!|The breakfast really was generous, clean, well stocked, with an attendant working to keep it perfect!||ROOM: super clean , sight and smell! I have worked on building for 40 yrs. And the quality of upgrades and maintenance is bar none! Example caulking around refinished tub was the best I have ever seen! Not one spot of black mold! We will stay again for sure!
