The room itself was fine. Big enough for the whole family to spread out and relax. The bathroom, however, was way too tiny. The hotel is old and rundown. For what we paid, we could have stayed at a newer hotel with a pool. The complimentary breakfast was fine. The bar and restaurant was great! The only service that was great, was in the bar. Our bartender was amazing and was great with our kids and got our order perfectly. She's the only reason the service got two stars. We tipped her well. The rest of the staff was no where to be found. They never cleaned our room or removed our trash. We had to continuely go downstairs to get towels and garbage bags from the front desk. We finally stuck our trash in a big bag outside our door and they still didn't take it. We will never stay here again. The only other great thing was the location.

Hotel was average. However, this review is to appreciate the wonderful and honest cleaning staff that found my phone and return it to the front desk after i checked out. Jayda(sorry if i misspelled your name) if you are reading this, thank you for your kind actions and i sincerely hope the best for you!

This hotel was absolutely, without-a-doubt, completely, and perfectly... FINE. That's the overall feeling this hotel gives. It's fine. To start, the hotel is very old and has seen few updates over the years. But nothing seemed to be falling apart, so it's fine. It's just a little dated and worn. The room was clean enough, and the beds were comfy enough. Although the AC doesn't work and the room was quite hot when I checked in. It's fine, there's a window and a fan. I opened the window and placed the fan in the window (no screen). After a few minutes, the room cooled down, and everything was fine. There's a bar/restaurant in the basement that serves a good burger and fries. It felt like your typical hotel bar. The hotel location is in town, but somehow, there's nothing nearby. I mean, sure, it's convenient if you're in a car, I suppose, but walkability is low. The neighborhood also didn't give the "stroll around" vibes either. Nothing sketchy, but not inviting either. On a scale from 1 to 5, 1: Being a disgusting motel and you'd rather sleep in the truck. 5: Being a destination hotel with everything you could ever ask for. I give it a solid 2.5/5... it's fine.

The front desk staff is as rude as can be. Refuse to help you and talk as if you are bothering them. No customer service period. The hotel is old and rundown. For what you paid, you could have stay at a newer hotel that respects customers. Gym has two items room is small and smells. House keeping comes only after you ask over and over. Policy is every 3 days but had to continually remind them no one had came. Rooms are very dated and disgusting. Stains everywhere. I would warn anyone to stay away. Will make any business or vacation trip stressful. Many staff members have a “don’t care” attitude.

We were on cruise land tour and stayed here , rooms are clean, and the staff is fantastic, especially Elijah . She made our stay comfortable and was very professional , Hotel provides free shuttle and free breakfast.

Made a reservation in March for a June stay. Called a week out to ask about transportation from the airport. |Was told my reservation had been canceled. Called Expedia. They said it was still active. They called the hotel, got the same info—cancelled. Nobody knows why or who but room not available. |If I had not called I’d have found out in the middle of the night on arrival. |Clarion is off my list.

The front desk “help” was so rude and inconsiderate. Upon arrival, we walk in and the FIRST thing out of the employees mouths at the desk is, and I quote, “ YOUR RESERVATION HAS BEEN CANCELED!! WE ARE OVER BOOKED!!!” Not a “hello” or “good evening,” nothing polite. Mind you, this reservation has been set and made for over 6 MONTHS!!! I am a local and was walking my disabled mother (66) and her care provider(81) to the front desk to help check them in after their 13 hour flight to Fairbanks. They were extremely exhausted and were looking forward to relaxing and catching up on some much needed rest. This is also their first time visiting Alaska and first time seeing me and my children in over a year, so for their first impression of Alaskan courtesy, at the Clarion, was appalling!!!! The front desk employee was so rude and her attitude reaked as bad as the stench in the front lobby. The people who work here are so unprofessional . I will NEVER again recommend this hotel to any family member or my friend again. I will also be contacting the general manager.

- IF UR CHECK IN IS AT 3PM, THE LATEST U CAN CHECK IN IS 3AM. -the service you get really depends on the person working front counter when you check in. booked this on priceline for $120 including fees&tax in the winter/march for 1 night. i actually liked this hotel. free breakfast from 6am-9am. got there at 6:30am and food was prepared and ready. it was good! the gym was a small room with about 5 equipment but nice overall, kinda smelt like weed tho. i liked our room. amateur, looks like every hotel room. for the bath you have to pull the handle out for water to come out. hotel looked ghetto on the outside, enter lobby was super fancy with them couch frfrs, scary ah hallways, nice rooms, would book again 10/10. we were hella tripping about checking in on time and asked and latest is 3am the next day as in exp: 3 PM @ 2/3/24 check in; latest = 2/4/24 @3 AM. saw a couple checking in 3 hours past the latest check in deadline (by 16 hours) and they had to rebook with a different rate. i would recommend calling the hotel if you have questions and stressing about it.
