Clamshell Beach Resort - Resort hotel in Pequot Lakes - 35197 S Clamshell Dr, USA

Have rented cabins here in the past but they are no longer answering their phone or responding to emails. What gives? Are they out of business??

While I haven't stayed here personally my mom used to stay as a kid and loved it. Some of the older cabins retain that old charm. The beach front is clean and has plenty of lounging space. We've used the boat launch here this summer and it's quite deep and wide. It's an easy launch with easy access to the rest of the lake chain.

We booked online on their website for a family vacation. I had some questions as to why the deposit hasn't gone through and making sure we would have a place to stay. I got a hold of someone in December who was going to take care of it but that never happened. Now I can't get a hold of anyone. Tried texting twice every month since then, tried calling 2 different phone numbers, tried emailing, and also Facebook messenger. Now I am hoping the cancelation requests I have sent get to them and they don't charge me. Such a waste of time trying to get a hold of someone. Not very good customer service.

Beware before booking online!! While I love clamshell (what it used to be) i need to leave a review based on our current experience. We have been trying to get in touch with them for months to book our annual trip, even was able to make a reservation online but no one will respond to us. Emails, texts, Facebook messages, Facebook comments etc and no response. I’m so disappointed to have to cancel this years trip and take our business elsewhere as they don’t appear open or wanting business.

Love the place! Nice grounds and beach and docks. Lodge is nice too, though could use more swag inventory. The private boat launch has always been awful and still is - The level cement pieces end and then it drops off into uneven sand. It's ok for launching but terrible for taking your boat out.

This is an awesome place to come if your looking for a relaxing place to spend a week. Fishing is amazing! We had fun renting a pontoon and exploring the whole Whitefish Chain of Lakes. I love this resort and everyone working at and staying at are very kind!

We spent a week up north at Clamshell in August and had a blast. First off the cabins are set on the Whitefish Chain, on a small lake that is connected through channels, called Clamshell Lake. It's great being on a smaller lake, with less traffic -- and which is great for paddle sports (kayak/canoe/etc). The lakeside cabin we stayed in (Pinecone) was recently built -- has plenty of space in beds and bathrooms and has a great up north cabin feel. We loved that the resort had plenty of things to offer -- to stay busy, with the lodge (game room/ice cream/coffee, etc), the well groomed beach, fire pits, outdoor pool, boat rentals, free kayaks/canoes, and plenty of yard games. Overall, we loved the amenities of Clamshell, and how incredibly family friendly the place is -- and will definitely be coming back!

Thank you for a beautiful week at Clamshell. Jenna, Krista and staff are wonderful. Cabins are terrific and well stocked. The beach is well maintained with plenty of space and relaxing chairs. We enjoyed the pontoons and firepits. Clamshell Beach Resort is in a great location, close to Nisswa and fun shops. Thank you! We will definitely be back.
