We haven't been here in several years. Wow, we had a great time. The service was amazing. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and quick. He was ready with drink refills without being asked and he always came by to check if we needed anything. The food was delicious. 5 adults and one child and the only complaint is the 7 year old thought her cheese pizza had too much cheese. Is that even really a complaint??? Lol The portions are large. We all had something to take home. Of course that could be that we shared a sampler platter and cheese bread for appetizers. I was happily full before my entree made it to the table. Bow Tie Pasta, Asian Chicken Salad, Country Fried Steak, Cheese Pizza, and Chicken Baker. All yummy. The Chicken Baker was a bit on the salty side for the blackened chicken but not the grilled. We will be back now that Claim Jumpers is back on our radar. And that Cheese Bread is to die for 🤤

I ordered the 2 item combo with tri-tip and baby back ribs. Both good. Creamy coleslaw was to dry. Service was okay but we noticed our server was side tracked visiting with another table of people he knew. All in all not bad. We would return.

The food was delicious. We didn't have a reservation but got seated quickly on a Friday evening. The server, Manny, was nice, and food came way faster than we expected. Good choices on the drinks menu and appetizers. I tried the Widow Maker burger for main course and liked it. We'd come back and recommend them.

I'm from San diego and we were here at the mall looking around and came across here. Didn't know we had these over in SD areas as well. Great food and drinks and very polite waiters. I'll definitely come back again after shopping!

I was unaware that some Claim Jumpers remained open. This location was not as well maintained as many of their former restaurants. It has a slightly run down look. The waiter was attentive though though the bus boy who brought our food was rude and curt. The cheeseburger was mediocre as were the sliders.

* Important Note - They charge a "SURCHARGE" here NEVER A FAN of hidden NOT MENTIONED "surcharges" added to a check at the end of a meal, shady - The manager states that is to keep from raising rates on food, which are already high, but it is apparently on a sign that is located by front waiting area. Just beware * As for the location, it's ok. Very empty during lunch rush, which was not surprising as there are so many delicious options within stones throw of this location. The Claim Jumper brand, once sold to Landry's, has become a sad shell of its once incredible dining experience. Had a business lunch here and was not blown away by their new portions. The old Claim Jumper portions were impressive and memorable. Not anymore, sadly. The flavors were ok and not impressive, very underwhelming. The interior was somber and not inviting or reminiscent of the classic CJ vibe. As a avid Old Fashion drink consumer, the old fashion here could not hold a candle to the ones next door at the Seasons 52. The winning star saving items were the cheesecakes! Delicious. Hands down a very very strong competitor to the Cheesecake Factory for sure. I truly miss the old CJ, where you would walk in and the bakery was right there pumping out delicious mouthwatering delectable to enjoy during your visit. No mention of the Motherload Cake that put CJ on the map. I'm not one to run the rating down on simple factors, but this location seems to have lost its original CJ charm that separated them from the pack.... Now, they are in the rear of the pack and supported by the corporate success of the popular themed chain they are known for. This is no Rainforest Cafe for sure, but charging their prices. Not a return visit worthy for sure.

We went to this restaurant with my family last night for dinner. The food was good. I was satisfied with the food. The only thing that bothered me was the very rude behavior of one of the waiters with my 3-year-old child. He had a very light plastic ball with him called TRUMP was written on it, which was thrown to the waiter very casually and he showed a very unpleasant attitude that made us leave the restaurant and I will never go there again. The waiter who served us It was very bitter! But the owner of the place should be more careful to hire his waiters because he will rarely lose his customers

Let's start with the appetizers, the loaded potato skins. Oh boy, they were like potato angels wearing cheese jackets! I swear, I could hear them whisper, "Eat me, eat me!" And so I did, without hesitation. The clam chowder soup was so good, it made me want to dive in headfirst and swim around like a happy clam. And when it came time for the main course, the chicken pot pie danced its way to my table, accompanied by a delightful medley of fruits that made me question everything I thought I knew about food pairing. It was like a culinary tango in my mouth, and I was the lucky partner. Now, let's talk about the service. These folks were like food ninjas, delivering our orders faster than I could say, "I'm hungry!" Our waters were always filled, and I suspect they had secret water-filling powers because I swear I never saw them pour. Now, my girlfriend, bless her soul, opted for the chicken fried steak with the gravy. Let me tell you, that dish was so good it should come with a warning label: "May cause uncontrollable food-induced happenings”. Claim Jumper in Costa Mesa was like watching a phoenix rise from the ashes. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, I highly recommend giving it another chance. Who knows, you might just find yourself falling in love all over again, one appetizer at a time.
