Civita Park - City park in San Diego - 7960 Civita Blvd, USA

This is a beautiful park with plenty of parking. There's a splash pad area, and the park is tucked up further back on the hill. There are food trucks and plenty of bathrooms. The landscaping is gorgeous with a very clean, well-kept area. We walked up the path to see the mural in the tunnel and enjoyed the breathtaking view of the city!

Beautiful... just beautifully thought out! The landscaping, the playground.... toddler city! Sand box, areas to swing, climb, slide! Swivel and spin! A path and stairs to hike. A splash pad! Basket Court. Areas to sit...picnic tables. A water stream that comes from top of the hill to the bottom of the park. Family restrooms... disabled height and access. A memorial for heroes of service. Our new favorite spot!

This park is great on so many levels! First it has lots of space for groups. If you like walking up hills I suggest taking the stairs and enjoying the overlook. Dogs get their own dedicated small and large dog areas to play in. Don't miss the weekly Farmers market, every Saturday!

Really cool and modern park for kids. Our kids are 3 and 5 and they had a blast at the park. They really enjoyed the sand box and the big kid area. Lots of open area to run around and multiple bathrooms to keep everyone happy. Plenty of covered sitting areas to keep out of the sun. Perfect place to host a birthday party or to meet up for a play date. Nicely groomed walking paths make it easy to get around and there is a garden area which I assume was for the residents who live around the park. Overall a super nice park!

Really great park, visited in June and the weather was perfect. The park is safe, fun, relaxing, and most importantly clean including the bathrooms which are very accessible, I think there's 6 in the main park area and maybe a few more on the other side of the park. There's a splash pad which was fun and the water did not get my kiddo sick afterwards. There's plenty of space although some areas are not flat/level if you plan on bringing tables and chairs because the park is a little hilly, using picnic blankets and umbrellas are best to get a good spot especially when the park is crowded. Parking can be difficult (but manageable since you can park by the elementary school which is a little bit of a walk if you're carrying stuff), there are park rules that you need to check out especially if you intend to bring decorations (at the time we visited balloons weren't allowed), and there are public events sometimes (farmer's market, food trucks, kids soccer games etc..) so plan ahead if you're doing a party or event. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash. Overall great park, great area, and great crowd/vibes. Highly recommend.

I couldn't believe how enjoyable this park was! I went with my wife and two girls and met a friend with her son. Our kids enjoyed playing in the water jets at the bottom of the park with a lot of other children. We saw a couple playing sidewalk chess and ping-pong with the provided amenities, and my wife stated that "it felt like Venice Beach." We progressed up the hill to multi-layered children's playground. My youngest parked it in the sandbox for almost 30 minutes, and my oldest ran around enjoying all the wild slides and enriching toys. Then, she literally chased me up a path leading into the housing areas and we got to enjoy the view of the valley. I also hiked all the way to the top of the watershed and thoroughly enjoyed every moment!

We were just looking for another dog park during the winter that was well-lit, and stumbled on the best park ever! Best meaning clean, safe, family & dog friendly, big enough for sports (basketball, frisbee, soccer, volleyball, football, etc), very green with a hiking trail, and perfect for picnics. I never felt like it was unsafe here and even the bathrooms are well kept. This is a great community-oriented park that also hosts cool events like food trucks, concerts and farmer’s markets. Love love this park!

Such a wonderful park, water sprouts for children to play, bathrooms, playground, basket ball and play fields as well as small stage for performances. Beautiful landscapes and monuments. Wheel chair access and small areas to bbq, lounge and enjoy the atmosphere. Small bunnies are also around the landscape very cute. There's a great tunnel with great views. The tunnel is full of painted murals and when you talk loud, sing etc it echos through the tunnel. Great views and kids loved this park. It was hard to find parking in the weekend however I can see why.
