Civil War Cider - Bar in Lewisburg - 606 Market St, USA

Really enjoy this cozy place. They have great staff and I have always had a good time with friends here. They don't mind you bringing in food (which you can get from a few different places within walking distance). There's a lovely sitting area in the back. The ciders are pretty good and there's a good variety of them as well.

The ciders we're pretty good and we had really good service. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet, though we did go on a Wednesday evening. The General Burnsides is definitely an... acquired taste, the the Mule Collaboration and Honey Jug are excellent.

Was in town for the day visiting and stopped in after seeing the great reviews. Owner was there and provided me and my friend with samples and a wonderful history of the cider making business. It was a wonderful experience and all of the cider was fantastic!!!!

If you like cider, you should give this a try. If you dont, try it because they may have a flavor that you might still like. They have some beer as an alternative, if you are looking for a place to sit and have a drink.

Very disappointing experience Sept 10th. Open but no one at the bar on arrival. Menu listed local beer highlights but nothing about their ciders. When bartender arrived, we inquired about ciders and were given two options, plum or apricot (both canned, nothing listed on their website, nothing on tap). Party of six and we asked about seating options as inside there is only two-person seating. His response was that maybe there would be enough stumps to sit on out back. Plum cider was okay but apricot was not very drinkable. Three of us got the apricot and very inconsistent color and taste. Have heard good things about their cider from experiences at events, but would have a hard time getting me to return to this location.

This small hole-in-the-wall bar is home to some of the best people I've ever encountered. They run a great business with an amazing assortment of alcoholic ciders. They also provide the stage for a great local comedy open mic that I recommend people attend again and again to experience the local talent!
