This place sells horrible food. Don’t recommend the creamy pesto. Manager is a mean lady who would not accomadate me for a another servings when when they served a horrible presentable food. She talked 26 dollars is an expensive meal where she can’t accomadate. Food was trash and I feel cause I was black she didn’t want to accomadate. My hard earn 26 dollars won’t make your business excel. I visited five star restaurants who replaced meals to please their customer satisfaction. Your about money. Advice stay away. Food is absolute trash along with drinks.
Delishous food, good portions even for pick up. Ordering was easy and it was ready in 15 minutes. Moist Salmon, shrimp and pesto with garlic spinach. Cayenne penne with peas was divine. Can't wait to have it again. Mixed veggies had very good flavor, not bland at all. Yellow rice and beans so tender.
I had my Bday dinner here in the back room that they call The Annex.. food and service was super amazing. The manager did an awesome job helping me put a package together to fit my needs.. I would totally recommend City Tavern.. it’s one of my favorites places to eat.. I love, love, love the Salmon with Pesto cream sauce
For those that don't know I would say this place has the best Cheese burger in all of Elizabeth. I don't say this lightly since I am a big foodie and a hard critic. The burger appears to be made in house, no frozen patties here, on a fresh English muffin, nice thick slice of American cheese, I don't go with the jalapeno slices it comes with, but to each their own. Fantastic solid burger and you cant beat the price.
The food is always so amazing here! I love how big the portions are and that I can take home leftovers! Such good authentic cuisine and dishes! I love the names of their drink menu for specialty alcohol mixers etc. I’ve been here to eat a couple of times and every time I’m always more and more impressed! I highly recommend this restaurant in Elizabeth New Jersey!
This was a quick lunch date with my mom and sister. The food came out really fast and it was delicious. We enjoyed it. The service was great, I wish I got names or I'll shout them out. But they were awesome. Thank you for that meal! I will be back.
Good Food and Drinks. Generous Portions with the Food, Including the Appetizers. Drinks are Good too. Recommend the Green Tea Shot, the Shrimp Alfredo and Ceviche.
