Had the pleasure of catching a quick brunch here. Sat at the bar and was greeted by the staff. Lots of varieties for beer and a great flight selection. I tried the pomegranate bourbon mule and the Nashville-hot chicken sandwich. My meal was great. My drink was amazing. Would certainly recommend. The only issue you may find is parking. I paid $13.99 to park for 1.5 hour. Overall great experience and great service.
Stopped in on a busy Saturday night for some dinner on a whim. Was decently busy, but they were still able to find us a table. We had the Abe Froman pizza and city tap chop salad. The salad was amazing. Very well balanced. The pizza was just okay. The cheese and toppings kind of slid off the dough. But it wasn’t the worst pizza I have had. Service was amazing and very friendly.
Wife and I stopped in for a 🍺 on Sunday 3 Sept. We initially ordered a 🍺 and started looking for a place to eat lunch. Summer was our server, and she was VERY friendly and helpful to a couple of tourists looking for recommendations. We ended up splitting their Pork Nachos and they were EXCELLENT as an appetizer.
The good: cocktails and beer selection. Varied menu options. Food came out pretty quickly. Tons of space and lots of tables. The ok: pizza. Chicken and waffles. It took a bit to get seated but the service was decent from then on.
City Tap House has a big menu with lots to choose from. Ordered the fried mushrooms and didn't know until they came out that their fried mushrooms are industrial and are not homemade. The shrimp and grits are way too rich. They need to come up with a lighter version. Their pizza is very good. Thin crust and not soggy like a lot of other places. The service was awesome. Very attentive even though she was fairly new she did a rocking job. This is a great place for a big sports party. Wear your favorite jersey and support your team. The barstools are not the most comfortable to sit in. The booths are better because they have cushion. Plenty of craft beers from all over the place. If you're a beer conosurer you'll love what they offer.
Had a nice meal here. Was super busy but we were seated quickly. Felt sorry for the staff. So many people and only a couple servers. The hush puppies were yummy as was the curried chicken. Pita bread was stale. Lovely atmosphere. Will definitely try it again.
Decided to go in for breakfast. Hostess was helping clear a large table that just left so told her no hurry. After about 5-6min she returned and sat us. All good. Waitress showed up 4-5 min later and while giving her our order she said we had wrong menu b/c looking at her watch, breakfast ended almost 5min ago. Brunch menu didn’t have the couple items we wanted…more lunch than breakfast. I completely get making the switch to the brunch menu, but since as she said, only ended almost 5min ago but we’d been there more than 10min if that much of a stickler for the time. Wouldn’t it have been just as much trouble to say let me see if the kitchen can accommodate. In addition, only 3 tables with people and nobody waiting to be seated. So when returned with drink, we told her we really wanted breakfast so we’re going to leave, she said ok. Make an effort, customer might be appreciative and leave a bigger tip. Make no effort, potential customer leaves and zero tip. Don’t understand why someone working for tips and staring at an empty restaurant would say bye to $ without making an effort.
Loved this place! Waitress was great. I ordered a pizza pie that was very good... it's a nice starter. As my main dish, I ordered chicken and waffles.. chicken had really nice seasoning, and waffles had a nice vanilla taste. Waffles came with a spices jelly on the side and whipped thyme butter also on the side...the butter is apparently a secret recipe. I inquired about the ingredients, and she wouldn't give up the secrets...lol. I highly recommend this place ... I would have eaten there twice if I knew the food was as good as it was. I will make a return visit to this restaurant next time I'm in nashville
