City of Mankato Sakatah Trail - Hiking area in Mankato - , USA

Beautiful, lots of places to explore, some photos shown are off the beaten path. Can't wait to go back!

One of the best 40 mile stretches via a completely paved trail. Very well maintained with a few spots that are bumpy. Elevation is only about 200ft overall from Mankota to Faribault. In the early fall the yellow leaves covering the trail are beautiful and the flowing corn fields just puts the feeling of fall in your heart. There are restrooms about every 10 miles or so and the towns have pubs, hot dogs, burgers, ice cream, and anything else you might need to refuel. Highly recommend this trail if your into getting in those long miles.

Always a great place to enjoy nature walks, bike rides, and relax.

It's absolutely beautiful. The stretch that winds through that ravine near the Minnesota River is my favorite. Plenty of shade along the trail too.

Mostly flat paved trails that also have benches to rest, along with bike repair tools at some locations.

Awesome trail to walk, rollerblade or ride bike. Mother Nature at its finest. Fun for the whole family!

Love it! Currently it's really buggy it's completely expected this time of year...use whatever protection of your choice and keep moving...this trail is really beautiful!! Easy to walk or bike...the other trail goers of the area are polite and courteous...highly recommend...oh and wheelchair accessible as well!!!

A 39 mile paved trail. Well maintained, no pot holes during today's ride. Geocache every 500 feet. Great views of area lakes as well as the country side. Come winter it's even groomed for snow mobiles and cross country skiing.
