City Diner of Stuart - Restaurant in Stuart - 2660 SE Federal Hwy, USA

My hubby and I went here for the 1st time today, for a late lunch. The hostess was very nice, our waitress Tiffany was awesome. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find a good closed face tuna salad melt ! Not only was it perfect but they offered a choice of GLUTEN-FREE BREAD !! My hubby had the fish & chips. It was also cooked perfectly and a nice sized portion. So happy to find this place!

The food and service was excellent. The waitress went above and beyond. We weren't rushed at all and the food came out very quickly. We met the owner and told him about our last experience with the old owners and staff. He couldn't believe how bad the food and service was before. My only issue was the music was a little loud.

Prices are (3) star. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak, it was large size and very good. Came with (2) sides. I got mash potatoes and House Salad was a up-charge of $1.25. Military discount 10% and LEO 50% off. Recommend with the discounts.

Ate here for the first time since it became City Diner! Service was excellent with Kathleen at the helm and the food was served hot and fast! We sat outside; very nice area. The inside was packed at 1:30 pm with a 10 minute wait so that told me the food was good- we were not disappointed. We will be back!

We have been dining here since they opened. Always enjoyed our meals, until recently. Our last couple of visits, the food has been under cooked, especially the fries. The waitress was very nice and accomodating. However the kitchen staff not so much! Very disappointing to see such a great place go down hill.

I’ll start by saying we have eaten here A LOT. We have always had great service and great food. However this is not one of those times. It seems to be sliding down hill from what it used to be. The waitresses were not very attentive to the tables. We saw people move from table to table hoping to get better service. Waitresses just standing around talking. The food is usually good, however that has changed. One plate of corn beef hash was super salty and missing items, the coffee was like warm at best. The pancakes were rubbery and unable to be cut. I had sausage gravy and biscuits. Not sure if they were in the freezer or just left out on the counter but they were very dry and stale and the gravy is usually creamy and I looked forward to it but this time it was a lumpy mess that you could pile up. We will try again next time and hopefully it’s better. Maybe we’ve hit them on an off day, it happens but this is the second time we’ve been let down. I’ve always recommended this place to people but now I’m hesitant.

I visited my girlfriend where she lives in the city of Stuart. I'm from Florida and in truth I have never visited this city before. The drive to the restaurant sits on the back highway with other stores and shoppes. This restaurant itself is very nice because it has a full menu of selections to choose from. The wait staff was very patient and knowledgeable.. The atmosphere was particularly good because they have flat screens all round. Nice! We enjoyed harassing each other until the food arrived...which by the way the food was very good, hot and fresh! I would definitely visit and eat at this establishment again!
