Good place for a quick bite with a nice, diverse menu. Gratuity is added into the prices, so no need to do any post-meal math. We sat outdoors and it has this nice vibe about it. Although we only came for breakfast, we did walk by at night and it seems like a whole other life takes place here. Seems like a nice casual place to sit by a fire and drink a beer or cocktail.

Self order via iPad and brought out to you. Very quick and easy rotation. I enjoy that they are dog friendly and have a huge outdoor space. Funky, retro, and fun.

Excellent food, excellent service and nice atmosphere. We had a farmers breakfast and an avocado waffle, with some grilled cheese on the side. Everything was delicious. The food arrived quickly too.

I’ve been to Citizen several times over the years but I usually sit outside and grab drinks on nice days. Love their outdoor area it’s huge and inviting. I highly suggest checking it out! Sorry no pictures of outside. I decided to try breakfast and I’m glad I did. The meals were so different then your average breakfast spot. You order on your phone and they bring the meal out on compostable plates so nothing fancy. It’s nice to pay right from your phone. Good for bigger groups but not much seating for bigger groups. Service was average they didn’t do much. The meals were good. Waffles were the base with a large selection of toppings. I got the Turkey which was actually really good!

Great cafe with good food options and very accommodating of dietary needs. Vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free, etc. Cute outdoor seating area. You can choose your own seats and order using a QR code at each table. Casual dining, with a really wonderful, friendly atmosphere. Pretty extensive drink and food menu. Also, in a really good location-- walking distance to the Opera House, McCaw Hall, and Seattle Center. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area, particularly groups with diverse food needs. Even the pickier waters in our group enjoyed this spot! Enjoy!

Photo of my half eaten waffle because the food was so good I was excited for brunch and forgot to take pictures… we love their online ordering and payment system that makes it easy to split bills, the service is minimal but friendly, and everything about this place is super efficient (paper cups and plates, QR code ordering + payment, etc.). The space is neat with a cool outdoor patio space, and a quaint upstairs. We’ve been here three times for weekend brunches and haven’t ever had to wait for a table. The food is good! The Citizen Waffle has been my favourite so far, but all the savoury waffles have been pretty similar. My table also ordered the breakfast sandwich and the Cuban sandwich and those were great too. It’s too bad the sandwiches come with chips instead of fries — I think that would elevate the experience. While the food is reasonably priced for brunch, they include an automatic 20% tip which drives up the cost (which is strange because the only service is them bringing the food to your table).

I stopped for Saturday brunch. I like their self-serve process where you can place the order from the table. It wasn't too busy and service was pretty fast. I took the Cuban roasted pork sandwich which was okay. My wife got the house waffle which was a bit bland. Also, the waffle did not have any crunch in them. It looked a bit flat and soggy. I have had their guacamole toast before which I liked but this time it was okay overall.

Went here for brunch and loved the options available for vegetarians. The food was good but we had difficult time with the toast (it was too hard). Other than that we loved the place. They have nice outdoor area with heaters. The coffee was good and the service was quick. Definitely recommend the place. Cheers!
