Citi Lodge Value Stay Motel - Motel in Missoula - 1135 W Broadway St, USA

Definitely the worst hotel/motel experience I’ve ever had in my life, right away getting into the room there was 5-8 flys in the kitchen area, sink and counter was not cleaned fully from whoever stayed last, lights would take a second, them flicker 3-4 times before turning on, and me and my wife have what we think are bed bug bites, very small red bumps in areas, but we seen that they’re about the size of an Appleseed so I’m not sure, was not clean, and the staff is obviously very out of line.

There's a different name over the entrance door than the one in the parking lot. The reviews on that one (Super 7) would have scared me off. When we got into the room the carpet was lumpy and filthy but the beds seemed ok so we went to find groceries (conveniently down the street) before we really looked. As we settled in the truth became clear. The couch was very dirty and stained. There was fingernail polish on another chair and really nothing looked clean enough to sit down or take off your shoes. We couldn't get anything into the freezer because the fridge had about 3 inches of frost buildup inside, and there were dead flies in the windows. As we're noticing weird stains on the sheets and the floor we also see cheap extension cords run to the A/C. These were not multi strips and certainly not what you use to run an appliance. Then the "street people" start having an argument outside and we see daylight through the lock and realize a big chunk of the door molding is missing like someone has bashed in the door and it was never really fixed. At this point, we know there is no way we are going to feel safe sleeping there so go to ask for a refund.||Told the guy what the problems were and he says sure he'll refund the money but he's going to have to charge us a cleaning fee for being in there. A CLEANING FEE for a room that was never clean. I say that is not acceptable and then he said, " I said I'd refund your money what do you want?" Well, the product paid for was not delivered and I did not want to pay a cleaning fee for a dirty room. At this point, I gave my honest opinion of who would be ok with it (no 4 letter words I promise) and he said I couldn't talk to him like that and he was going to call the police. This was suddenly all too weird and scary so I just decided to leave. He followed us out to the parking lot with his phone out like he's really going to call the police. They have already charged my card btw and know my name and address so this is just very intimidating behavior. Why does he need to see my license plate? ||Miles away we call the police because we aren't sure what he's done or who we are dealing with. A carload of middle-aged women now have no place to stay and it seems like this was all just bullying behavior which worked because we removed ourselves from what felt like a potentially bad situation.||We did find a very nice place down the road and as we are unloading the car there I get a call from the booking company (not trip advisor) saying they are canceling the reservation but I need to call the guy and give him my credit card so he can reverse the charges. I'm very leery about doing that but I do call and he does apologize saying he looked and yes it was what he called "a substandard room". I did give him the info and he said he wouldn't be able to get to it until the following Monday. That day has come and gone, nothing has happened. Expect I will have to dispute the charge and replace the card AND on that other booking site, you cannot leave a review if they've canceled the reservation.

Stayed one night: July 20, 2018. Rate: $74.85 so one of the cheaper places we have stayed at on our month and half road trip.||||Tough call: I strip the beds and check all linens. All were good. Bed comfortable. Towels clean. Pillows and pillow cases and carpet clean. That part was very good.||||The issue is really the physical environ in the room: it's older..paint job on walls, outlets, windows. Ac unit is window mounted so felt a bit worried leaving the room as you could easily push this in and access the room. Single double bed...with a kitchenette...sadly very old..see pictures...sink tile all cracked...this doubles as the bathroom sink.||||Shower is somewhat dangerous I thought...it does not have a flat bottom like most or a slip mat. The side actually angle in...so when you get in you could slip easily...be careful. When adjusting the shower head it looked as if it had almost been pulled out from the wall. Not sure if the cleaner catch this detail.||||The bathroom door was warped and so didnt close. The frame was also low so at 6'2" I had to lower my head everytime I used the bathroom. ||||Wifi was ok.|| ||Needs some work. ||||The young man checking me in was nice enough and friendly...so a tough call....but TWO it is..

At over $75 for a night, it was better than falling asleep in the road and hurting someone. I will also say the room was clean- but it you're going to be knocking on the door to clean at 9am (especially more than once) you'd better provide some "Do Not Disturb" signs. Speaking of noise, Broadway turns into a highway as it goes west, and the traffic noise from the street is pretty loud. No control over cooling and heating- no fan, only a radiator. Wifi was available, but about as fast as a dial-up connection. Finally, and most frustrating was the miniature toilet in the bathroom. I recently spent time in SE Asia, where things are often built on a much smaller scale- but ever there I never saw such a tiny toilet. Totally inadequate for anyone much over 5'5", 110#. Finally, the cherry on top was the fluctuating heat of the shower. It never burned or turned completely cold, but the threat was there. In all, a rather underwhelming experience and far overpriced.

I had a very nice experience with this motel during my trip to Missoula last month. I needed an inexpensive motel for me, my mom, my sister and her baby and it worked out perfectly! I called and booked a room with 2 beds and one hideaway couch and the man on the phone was very helpful and nice... especially since it was the 3rd hotel I called and it was a last minute booking. When we arrived the front desk manager went out of his way to show us the room and made us feel very welcome. The beds were comfy and looked new. And my mom actually said that the hideaway couch was comfortable and she slept very well! The room definitely had some upgrades, which were nice for the price. For it's low price, the hotel was way above our expectations and allowed us to explore the town feeling rested after our long drive! We stayed there 3 nights and housekeeping brought us fresh towels and were very sweet.

Our room was clean. We checked for bed bugs. There were no curtains on the window, only blinds which was uncomfortable being on the first floor. It's a low quality MOTEL. In the evening, we heard other customers outside complaining about the quality of their room lol. I guess some rooms are better than others. Oh and no shampoo only soap.

I went out for coffee, and when I got back I was locked out of my room. For two hours. Was told sorry that happens. That was it. "Sorry doesn't cover the inconvenience"

There was nothing good about this motel, when you ask for service the manager is intoxicated half the time. My fiance and I stayed for 4 months until we could find a place to live. We were promised the free wifi that we could never access from our room the heater is spotty at best the toilet doesn't flush and the sink doesn't drain. We paid on a weekly basis paid two deposits and left in the middle of the week. At check out we were told we couldn't have the deposit back because we paid with a debit card, had we paid with cash we could have gotten it. I would never recommend this hotel or its services to a cockroach little less a human.
