I am an employer following up on a call to verify employment of a former employee of the business. My experience today was frustrating and unprofessional. The original phone message I received (from Zander?) was garbled so bad I had to listen 3 times to get the case number. He clearly rushed through the script he had. I never could understand requested information. In addition, he left the line open for 3 minutes so I got to hear the chatty discussion between him and his co-workers. As a busy business owner I find this waste of my valuable time annoying and unnecessary.

Worst company ever, estimated time to complete the check within 13-15 working days, but end up complete after 25 days after emailed to dispute everyday. The final report have lot of error, the summary status "unable to verify" but at the below breakdown part, it shows get the information from my UNI. Couldn't reach anyone by email + Sinagpore, Malaysia & India branches not pick up the phone. No one you can reach in this company So regret to choose this company as my background check company, wasting my time & make me loose my job

A terrible company. Still waiting on a background check to be completed it has been two months of waiting on there end. I have called several times and they don't give there 3rd party call center they use any information to give to the customer. I would really like to start my job but right now it seems hopless and I don't know what to do.

As I provided a paycheck from former employer that I worked 2 years ago, they still need to contact to verify. I said directly contact HR rather than my former supervisor since she had left company I don't have her contact info anymore, they just waste 10 days on waiting and doing nothing, and notify the company no response for 10 days and ask for another contact...... do you can really do some work? You said you may not contact the person I left with the information, then could you do that rather than wasting my 10 days on waiting my background check clear?

If I could give 0 stars, I would! I have been waiting weeks for Cisive to verify my degree. My employer and I sent them proof of degree completion TWICE and they still have not verified it, which has pushed my start date back three times! They even had the nerve to ask me what's the address of the college I attended when the address is literally on the transcript we provided. They also don't respond to emails. Extremely unprofessional and useless.

Awful experience. Portal is glitchy and confusing. 9 weeks to complete my check with a squeaky clean record including top security clearances. After not being offered my role they contacted my current employer to verify information even though I stated in the beginning they do not have permission to contact them if I do not get the new role I was offered. Mind you they contacted my employer 3 months AFTER they already furnished the completed report. Could have easily gotten me in trouble. Requested repeat information 5+ times. Screwed up my dates of military service. They don't know the difference between active duty and reservists. No updates. RUDE staff. I will be placing a formal complaint with the FCRA for breach of contract. Not cool contacting my current employer when I did not authorize. Hold times are the worst I've ever experienced. Awful. They failed my background check because I used estimated dates of employment for my previous employers I was off by a couple of months. In addition, they claimed I only had 3 months of military service based off my DD214 when I've been a reservist for 6 years. They refused to accept any additional proof of service. I'm curious if my potential employer saw that as a red flag too. How ridiculous. I have NEVER been so mad at a company. I am confident the issues they discovered, if given the appropriate chance, would have allowed me to continue with my offer of employment. They exposed my job search to my current employer. They cost me my dream job with their incompetance. My only hope is that my current employer doesn't retaliate against me for seeking further career advancement opportunities.

By far the worst background check company. Your company wants to update your education --> They pull your credit. Oh, you graduated from High School 25 years ago. Need copy of your diploma, transcripts, and contact information for a teacher there. So much incompetence it is staggering they are used at all.

I've applied a job that uses Cisive for background checks and it's taking forever for my background to clear. It's starting to mess with my piggy bank now. Wondering why is it taking so long as it's been a month now. You guys are messing with people's lively hood now. Let's jump on it.
