Ciao - Italian restaurant in Cape Girardeau - 1650 North Kingshighway #102, USA

The waitstaff was so attentive! Our waiter for the evening was great. He was present without being intrusive. I believe his name was Dustin. The menu offered a variety of options that are different from a lot of other restaurants in the area. Everything we had was wonderful! Perfect portions of delicious dishes. I had the sea bass, as recommended by our waiter, and my husband had the eggplant parm. The atmosphere was lovely and intimate. The dining area is clean and decorated nicely. The music played was perfectly suited for the type of vibe they're trying to achieve. Overall, Ciao is a beautiful Italian restaurant perfect for date night. We can't wait to go back!

I cannot recommend this place enough! Everything is delicious and the food is 10/10, but the service is 20/10! I travel alone for work and was craving some good Italian food, so I booked a table here. I was unfortunate to come when they were hosting a private party so I sat at a table by the party, and while it was incredibly loud, it really didn’t detract from the experience much as the meal, service, and atmosphere was still great. However, my server told me that the manager (or owner?) felt bad about my experience being disrupted by the party and comped my meal. Even though this was unnecessary, as I still had a great time, it was greatly appreciated. If you’re a local, or just passing through, this is a place you DO NOT want to miss!

The all around experience was amazing. We had fresh oysters that were surprisingly fresh. The drinks were top notch as well. We ordered the veal chop which was cooked to perfection. We loved our server and will be back!

Overall good food and service. Reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant. Pasta and sauce were well prepared and flavorful. My wife had their seafood special (branzino) which she found flavorful but it was not filleted as it should have been resulting in a few too many bones. Will definitely give it another shot.

The Great and Not So Great. . . The food was very tasty and the wine as well. The service was exceptional! The not so great . . . The atmosphere was very relaxing, except for the classic rock music, and I like Beatles and Stones. Just weird in a fine Italian Ristorante. The food and drinks clearly overpriced, with two modest entrees around $20, two glasses of wine each, and tip topping a hundred bucks. The most disappointing thing was that they refused to honor a gift card that was issued by the previous owner (under the same restaurant name). This was a bit embarrassing. I may go back simply because of the food and the service.

Ciao is perfect for a romantic dinner or if you just want perfect gourmet food! They are inviting and 150% professional while still treating you like family. We really enjoyed having Scott as our waiter, he's funny and super helpful! If you want a perfect dining experience, go to Ciao!

Ciao was an excellent evening experience! The food and decor worked together very well to create a beautiful upscale secret in Cape. I definitely recommend.

We came for the Valentine's Day special. We were very impressed by the clear plastic dividers between tables. I of course had to have a Crème Brûlée and a Caramel White Russian.
