Simple setting with great food. The portions are as they should be the “American way”. The service is fast and friendly. The coffee is good. My veg omelette was nicely stuffed with veggies and cheese accompanied with a large amount of roasted potatoes and rye bread. We also ordered Christie’s Skillet which was really well presented and super tasty. Give this place a shot. It is right across the train station in Burlingame on California Dr.
Solid, very good food and generous portions! It was full of people of all generations when I went and it was loud with all of the people talking to each other. I can definitely see why it is as popular as it is!
Menu prices were a good $2 higher menu pictures posted here! At least for the higher priced items. But I’m not complaining.
The waitresses were all friendly and attentive.
I sat at the counter and could see the chefs preparing food like a well oiled machine and when I got mine, I had to let it cool a little before starting! Fresh off the griddle and delish!
I got their Joes Scramble ($16.95) and modified it with cheddar and avocado. The waitress and cooks were accepting of the mods and was attractively presented when it came out to me.
I could tell that, even if it was a little chaotic, the waitresses and cooks worked very well with each other.
I liked my experience there and plan to return again!
Came around 9:30 in the morning, and the restaurant was almost full. We were lucky we got table right a way. Parking is on the street. Interestingly, before we evrn seat, the server asked what we want for a drink. We ordered chicken fried steak with sunny side up and hashbrown. Yummy breakfast. I wish hashbrown is a bit crispier. Really recommend the chicken fried steak. You can also order chicken fried steak with egg benedict. The coffee is average.
We wanted to grab some breakfast before heading to the airport and found Christie's on Google. Um wow!!! I would consider myself a biscuits and gravy connoisseur and this was definitely the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had! The biscuit was fluffy, delicious, and you could tell it was homemade. The gravy was fantastic. Definitely recommend stopping into this place!!
Good atmosphere, good portions, good service. All added up to a great experience.
On a road trip stopped to have brunch this place is awesome. Great service and fast reasonable price and excellent food. Hostess and Server Kassie is very welcoming. Highly recommended and will be back. Best Chicken Fried Steak and Gravy.
Awesome breakfast find!
Came here from a Google search. Wow! So glad we did.
Cute diner ambience. Super friendly and attentive servers. Prompt coffee fill ups!
Food was a 10! Huge portions. We enjoyed the American Scramble and Corned Beef Hash. Yum!
Will come again.
Breakfast was pretty good, coffee was great and service from our waitress (nice blonde lady, the other lady, brunette, wasn't quite as warm and friendly.)
I should have gotten the chicken fried steak, which is what brought me to Christie's in the first place, but failed. I got the new York steak, and it was a pretty low grade and was over cooked for medium, but still tasted okay, was edible for sure.
Stopped in on a quiet Tuesday for lunch and really enjoyed myself. Urban Kitchen fills the healthy and fast meal option that was a big gap in Burlingame. It reminds me a lot of Urban Bistro, which closed a few years ago. The person who took my order
Such a cute and different coffee shop. I had the Honeybee latte and a tomato quiche. The latte was far better than I expected- perfect balance of sweet and flavorful. Not overly sweet at all! The quiche was very flavorful and moist and the crust was
We visited late at night, so many options are out of stock. We ended up getting one of their signature Chocolate tart and it was really good.
The service was excellent. The server waited next to me as I was getting a cup of water to bring my tart to
Lovely spacious library near downtown with many great sections and a classic, traditional feel to it. I love to go to different libraries and explore when I am in the area or visiting a city. It is peaceful and a great place to work. There is a nice
Delicious healthy food, made with so much care! Love that they have prepared meals ready for take out, is so nice to have a healthy quick local option.
My first time here and I definitely will be coming back again. Will, the owner is such a wonderful and friendly man. He made my friends and I feel so welcomed. The food was wonderful and the tea was great. Thank you for such a lovely experience W
Helpful, patient staff who offered me more samples even after I couldnât make up my mind. Generous amount of ice cream. The lavender was good but the coffee ice cream was even better.
Vegan options available.
A great experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us navigate the short but complicated menu. She also helped guide us with the appetizers. Atmosphere was refined even though there were many people here, we felt a kind of privacy at
This is a small restaurant, so a wait is to be expected in the evenings/on weekends. However, it's more than worth it! They have the best ramen I've tried in a long, long time, and the servings of meat and extras in their bowls are HUGE. Like heaping
Great healthy addition to Burlingame. You can customize your superfood bowls and topping are pretty much unlimited.
Nice variety of bases (some of our favorites are mango, coconut, warm cinnamon oats).
Very reasonable prices. A medium bowl can easi
